From: Lecktor Hannibal So, I finally got one. I had to see what it said after all the heehawing on these forums for over year and a half. Pretty goddamned funny if you ask me. Disciplinary action? I forget, we're adults here yes?
Off to the Cornfield with you!!

What does one have to do to get warned here? I threatened to execute the Lindens if they didn't compensate me for downtime, for heaven's sake!

From: Introvert Petunia Based on my personal experience and a bit of speculation, be critical of the LL forum mods in open forum. Not true. Try repeatedly violating the community standards and forum rules. For the record, the Impeach Bush Guy is doing neither.

This thread seems to violate the rules of posting asking "why was my thread closed" / "why did I receive a warning".
Recourse: If Linden Lab takes disciplinary action against you that you believe was unfair or inconsistent, you may appeal the decision. An appeal is an e-mail or private message explaining your situation and why you believe you should not have been disciplined. Appeals must be sent via e-mail only to abuse@secondlife.com, and must follow this appeals procedure, or they will not be considered. You may submit only one appeal per disciplinary action.
I am closing this thread and leaving it for Linden review.
My honest opinion would be to start a thread about what you feel is wrong with the way diciplinary actions are handled on the forums, but do not point to one particular example (especially your own). This would allow for a valid discussion on the topic, without the risk of violating CS or TOS policy.

This thread does indeed fall under "reposting" and is remaining closed - to re-clarify - the Resident Moderators are not at all involved in the disciplinary process. Instead they help identify threads which may or may not have a problem. Identifying Problems – Feedback from both the community and ResMods has identified that moving the threads into a moderation queue is not the best way to preserve moderation transparency within the forums. Therefore, the ResMods will close threads that need further review with a note explaining why they've been closed. Once the moderators (resident and Linden) have a chance to talk over the issues involved and decide whether to leave the thread closed or to reopen it, a moderator will post and explain the decision. To be clear, ResMods do not perform any disciplinary actions, nor do they have access to any disciplinary history, that is left up to Linden Lab.
