(3) Do cartoonish representations of human characters represent harmful materials? The spirit of the law is clearly an idiot Republican reaction to porn on the web. Do you really think anyone will car about cartoonish images being intimate while Google Images allows you to see just about anything the human body is capable of doing?

I'd be interested in finding out how those well-publicized cases turned out which involved Photoshopped kiddie porn. It did not involve any real kids involved in sexual acts, but as I recall that didn't stop the prosecutors from going after them on intent.

It sounds like a reach at first, but what is the difference between the police stings being run in text-only chat rooms and police stings that could be run in SL? It may only be cartoon avies here, but it's only text pixels in chat rooms.

Tangential topic here: one wonders how the Age Play issue will play into this too. Most law enforcement types are going to assume the worst when they see someone dressed up like a child in a sex club.
