We shall rue the day 1.9.1 is released.

From: Ron Overdrive BTW, am I the only one who's white floating text on their hud attachments turned black?
I'd take black over the handy invisible floating text that my hud attachments now have. I'm not exactly sure why LL decided to get rid of the seprate 'Avatar vertex program' option in settings. The new vertex dealie does look nice, and it doesn't completley kill my framerate either, but still, I'd like to be able to just have it for avatars, too. The avatar vertex thing actually gives me a framerate boost enabled.. Also, why is agp /still/ disabled for ATI cards? I've been editing my featuretable file ever since 1.7 to force it to be enabled. Not only have I seen zero bugs, but having agp on increases my framerate considerably. Whats the deal?

From: Shyotl Kuhr I've been editing my featuretable file ever since 1.7 Do you mean the SL settings.ini file, or something else?

From: SuezanneC Baskerville Do you mean the SL settings.ini file, or something else? Featuretable.txt, in the root secondlife folder (program files/secondlife on my system). Changing "RenderAGP 0 0" to "RenderAGP 1 1" under 'list ATI', and also changing it under the specific card model, if applicable... After saving it and restarting SL, the agp option should be toggleable. Works fine with my 9800pro thus far..

From: Khamon Fate This preview also includes llHTTPRequest(). We will hardly rue that. Good grief, really? I missed that. I can't ever being so positive about a coming update's new features as this one, and it's not even a major point release. There's so much in this that's just "right".

From: Corvus Drake That occurred to me.
"I'm sorry, can you scale down your tits? You're lagging me".
Still, i can picture women intentionally flatchesting their avatars to wear xcite-style breasts that have bounce to them. Just no Bloodrayne-1 style flopping or sex would put someone's eye out. Sadly No boobies are possible since spheres can't be made floppy. 1.9.1 is sexist in that one can make floppy peni but not boobies.

From: Artemis Fate Oooh I just realized that I can use the floppy prims to make myself a more realistic cat-tail. Not really. I tried making a realistic otter tail, and gave up and made some floppy hair fringe instead. You can't make spheres flexible, just blocks and cylinders, and you can't link to the flopping end of a floppy prim... so your tail has to be conical or have a chopped off end. Prim hair that blows in the wind... From: Introvert Petunia boobies Nope, no spheres.

Given the limitations in the prims that can be flooped, you have the same problem that a lot of tails do: a floppy phallus with a squared off end would look like someone had half-bobbited you.

Well it's still early in the preview, it's possible that flexiprims could be expanded to allow attachments on the free end.

From: Feynt Mistral Well it's still early in the preview, it's possible that flexiprims could be expanded to allow attachments on the free end. This would be a key advancement. I rushed into the preview with a host of great ideas for floppy-prims that all ended up involving a need for an attachment on the end of the floppy bit. Without that, the uses are much more limited.

From: Adam Marker I like Salazar Jack's "suggestion" of calling them floopy prims. Much better name than flexible or floppy. Spread it around. I'm pretty sure I commandeered this term from the Ava/Tab maven herself, Osprey Therian. I thought it sounded good too. floopy Snoopy droopy poopy loopy You can't go wrong with words like that!

That just means you can't make them out of a single sphere.. be creative.. so you boobs aren't 1 prim, they might need to be more. Do flex prims move clothing if its over them? the word is penises.. peni just doesn't exist.

No, they are over the clothing layer. And because flexible prims aren't linked you'd get bits of your bits flopping through each other.

hehe Boobies
04-17-2006 17:59
From: Introvert Petunia Boobies? This was one of the first things I said on Preview when I saw flexi prim didn't mean prims we could alter with a mesh but instead prims that creepily flop around.. Hey I could make jiggly boogs.. but alas.. was not meant to be.. No flex support for spheres.. Also for those wanting hair.. I hope your good with a cylinder because it's not supported on torus either.. thank goodness.. **OOps didn't see this was 3 pages long only read the first set so if this was said earlier, pardon my impatience while reading"
