To preserve his power, he mutes you (so you cannot trick him again) and he bans you (so you cannot get close to him on his property and steal his power).

How would this not be part of the game as well? Should he openly invite you to his business to steal his power again?

This thread is nothing more than a poor excuse for gloating and should be moved to the Forum of Worthless Threads.

Part of the game is to hunt people down and zap them. If he didn't want zapped he shouldn't have it on. It's off be default and you have to say "Wand game on" so there's no excuse that it was an accident.

*shrug* Sounds kind of like Killer, if you ask me. I played that a little in college, and I wound up a paranoid wreck. But it was a fun paranoia. Yeah, I think he's probably overreacting... but as someone else said, it'll be really hard for ya to zap him again, and 'all's fair'.

Now, 'scuse me, I gotta check under the hood of my car to see if there's a note saying 'bomb' attached to the engine.

Yes!!!! I *am* paranoid! I told a friend he couldn't come see me because he cannot be trusted when it comes to wand play!

I think people need to lighten up.

It's a game. I managed to escape nimrod's clutches and I gloated merrily at him. Had he zapped me I'd chuck it up to part of the game and then conspire to get him back.

It's rare we get fun things like this to do here. You're playing if you want to power up. If not, turn that option off. With games of this nature, you're bound to encounter one who plays to win and the ones who want to play but not in a way that lets them lose. Hehe.

If you want to avoid being muted, just talk through an object with Linden in the name of the object. Trying to mute that object will result in a message that a Linden can't be muted.

(Will not name names) So Starax has this game with his wands, where you wear it and you gain power. If you find someone who's wearing theirs, you can steal their power. So I saw the owner of Apollo had theirs on, so I told them I had a question about one of their products. I TPed him, and zapped his powers. After I did that, he muted me and banned me from Apollo! If he didn't like the game, why was he playing? I did this to about 8 other people, they all laughed and ran except him who cried and thought he was all high and mighty until I zapped his powers? *rolls his eyes*

Edit: The amount he had would have only taken 30 minutes to gain.

To keep this in general: Would you have done the same thing as him?

If it was part of the game to steal each other's wands (powers), I would definitly have done the same, except I would have taped a "kick me" sign to his back first. Why play a game that requires stealth, tactics and power-sucking, if not to..well..play the game! It should have been just fun from what I can see. Win or lose, it's how you play the game.

You know what? The story of how nimrod zapped me was pretty funny, but I think it's even funnier if I don't tell it, so he can trick someone else. hehehehehe So, I'm deleting my tale for now.

BTW, a lot of the power he sucked from my wand came from me tricking someone else and sucking power from his wand!

V2.10 - The game has been restarted. The first person to reach a power level of 50000 will receive a free wand for a friend.

Fixed:
There was a bug/exploit that would allow a wand to gain an unlimited amount of energy from an older wand.

Changes:
The wand's game mode is now disabled by default. This is to help prevent the "innocent" wandies from being hunted.

The following commands have been added to control the game mode:
Wand Game On - Enables the game mode and allows the wand to gain or lose energy.
Wand Game Off - Suspends the game mode. The wand can no longer gain or lose energy.

The old commands 'Cast Off' and 'Cast On' have been removed.

The rate at which energy can be siphoned off from another wand has been increased.

Casting/Launching items no longer causes the wand to lose energy.

New item added:- Paintbrush

WOOOOT Happy hunting everyone!
