But it's much improved in the preview as it includes the ability to choose lighting for only nearby objects AND it allows people to set the intensity of lighting. I'm asuming that radically reduces the number rays we're having to process at once. Should check that to be sure though.
Anyway, my frame rate doesn't crumble to dust when I activate and look at lights there.

I usually use 8x AntiAliiasing, so prim hair that was made with individual prims instead of textures with alphas (you know, that curly hooker hair that goes up and down on command) brings my machine to its knees.

I have been at a place where the reality impression is top notch, all content creators are very much experienced, you shouldn't miss it and it's really a place worth spending time. Though I am in an immediate permanent deep thinking freeze lag as soon as I run across this place with it's drawing distance of years. And it is still a mysterious secret of how the junk scripts can be disabled there and lindens even haven't started investigation for feasibility yet.  |
