A question for Male AVs.

I'm curious. I see a LOT of male AVs without shirts. So the question I have is:

Do you wear no shirt because you feel it makes your AV look better, or because you haven't found a shirt you like?

And to those who like looking AT male AVs, how do you prefer your guys?

ACK! Hopefully a mod can edit the poll.. I didn't mean Sh!+less, and can't edit it.

As someone looking AT male avs: I prefer male avs with some chest hair and lighter skin tone. Lends realism and variety to our world.

As for shirts (if desired) - I'd love to see more guys in shirts that aren't all ganster. Maybe a bowling shirt, a Hawaiian shirt, a casual sweater ... Hell, guys need more clothing options, period. ;)

I like shirts. I like suits, but sometimes I like going shirtless.

hmmm well seeing as I am ONE OF THOSE GUYS that rarely wears a shirt, I think one important option is left off the poll and question left unasked........

Do you NOT wear a shirt to show off your Tattoos?

Oh why yes I do run around half naked so that my tattoos will be seen, see if I wear a shirt, none of the body art or the nice skin that was purchased can be seen. I do wear shirts when appropriate or funny (gotta have your collection of funny T-shirts), but mostly NO SHIRT so the art work can be shown... :)

I would put that under "Because it looks better"

People spend all that money on skins, and then cover them up with clothes. I say, if you just paid 5k for a skin, it's best to show it off, eh? :)

Because it's a virtual world, we feel less vulnerable to harassment and sexual abuse, and therefore are freer to display our inner selves. Here I can act as skanky as I want! Oh, wait...

I like tattoos. Soo, I like looking at them. I prefer some clothing on despite it would cover the tattoo. I find it sexy to just see parts of it. It's like in RL, you see part of the tattoo and just imagine what the rest of it looks like and where on the body it's travelling.

I'd go shirtless when appropriate. Even here at home iRL shirtless is convenient when doing stuff around the house, it's cooler and lighter.

But nah in game most of the time I am shirted. Some people even called me the tie dye guy for the sleevless tie dye I normally wear.

And thanks for the typo. It's a nice laugh to spice up the day.

Depends... I recreate real life in instances about what I wear. When I am building in SL (granted, in real life I couldn't nail two boards together without an emergency technician on standby) I wear the old rip jeans Linden gave us and an old t-shirt or maybe no shirt. Even found a clever tool belt at Home Depoz at the landing point. When I go to the beach in SL, I wear swim suit. When I go to parties, I dress accordingly. And then there are the tiny av's... a completely different story and routine as it is quite difficult to do in RL so I have to "wing it" in SL.

I would like to point out that there are very few Male Clothes/Hair designers in SL that I like. Especially hair. I have found only one prim hair that I like and have had it since January. I wish someone with the skills would spend as much time on male products as EVERYONE (okay, maybe not everyone but unquestionably the large majority) seems to do on female products.

Personally, I think the sexiest look on a man is a fine suit. Almost anyone can have muscles, not just anyone can have style. :)

Most T-Shirts that come my way are white.

My skin/fur is white.

The net result is, the T-Shirt ends up looking like i'm wearing a tattoo. I cringe every time someone passes me one :D

So no, I usually walk around with just my collar :)

Lack of GOOD male clothes
05-02-2006 09:53
I can be found at times shirtless and one of the main reasons is I have a hard time finding good clothes for males--call me picky or what not but its not uncommon for me to search for hours in shops and stores that offer some good quality clothes-- this is a hard task. There is a gold mine out there just waiting for the right designer to bust open the male clothing market. Granted some good shops are out there but I find the turn over for new designs in these shops are slow. Once you snag all of the "good stuff" you are in for a wait for more....

Also as someone mentioned shirtless is also a good way to show off your tatts some and be able to enjoy your tatt investment.

Shirtless here, as it shows off my tats and pimp tattoos. Not to mention my impressive chest rug :D
