I wasn't quite a noob (over 30 days under 60)for this moment but I still laugh at my sillyness at the time. My Partner and I had just discovered the existence of adult poseballs and had hurried out to buy appropriate bits for our AVs. Well I put on my bits and hopped into the hot tub with my honey and the secondlife gremlins struck. My Bits vanished! Just poof GONE. Search all over my inventory they are nowhere to be found. My partner and I spent the next 6 hours tearing the entire castle apart looking for them. Litterally taking it apart. Then checking underground. Then checking neighboring lots. No dice still gone. Once I got past my embarassment I did IM the maker and he was kind enough to send a new set. 3 weeks later I log in to find a message Your Object (insert name of bits) has been returned from (insert sim name). 4 sims away! Then I get this IM from the person that found them. Seems she found them on her diningroom table and had an Elaina Bobbit moment!

Still make them. No need for me to post old stories when I'll produce new ones soon enough. Or recently.

From: Khamon Fate after a deep breath i'm willing to admit that it was a little over two weeks after signing in that someone explained to me what that large red cylinder, that always disappeared when i approached it, was. LOL I had exactly the same experience when I was new

From: Gemini Galatea The worst thing I can remember doing when I was relatively new, I had bought a lovely house and in my wisdom decided to retexture it. I had amost finished, was just doing the last windows when I forgot to *select texture* and re-textured all 150 prims in transparent glass.. No throwing stones for the occupants of THAT house... P2

My Boxheadedness only lasted a couple minutes before someone helped me. ALthough the boxes I had rezzed in the bushes remained there for months.

These are pretty embarrassing, but I will spill it in hopes someone else doesnt go as long as I did finding these simple shortcuts. It took me about a year and a half to learn that I could open the big map by simply clicking the mini map. Even worse, considering my huge inventory, I (very) recently discovered the inventory file option: "Close All Folders" I use both constantly now

I once built a rather complex structure (part of a castle, if I remember correctly) and while relinking I accidentally left the physics tag on.
In terms of key things to learn, shift-drag (and then sometimes undo) as well as center copy were two of the most powerful things it took longer than it should to learn.
Sure wish I could learn how to use Rotate Copy though..

I was building a pyramid of phsyics enabled beach balls for a snapshot.. yes, stupid to leave them enabled, I know
A friend thought it would be a great joke to shoot them with a rocket launcher .. if anyone sees a beach ball owned by me on their lot, please return it, don't know how many are missing (but my screen was filled with off world messages)
