So Very Sad

Yesterday I was sitting in my store and 2 *ahem* gentlemen came in. They were wandering around looking at the furniture and in my experience the ones who drop the bombs on me are usually not in pairs. So, I continued to work in paint (while sitting of course just in case they did have bombs in their pockets). Not even 1 minute later I look up and these "gentlemen" are completely stripped naked with thier xcite parts out and on 100% while aiming all over the furniture in the store. Literally turning around to spray everything.

I'm a big girl. I can handle it..but I really have to know what the hell is wrong with people. I can ban these people, I can check out their profiles (and yes, one of them was not a newbie, had payment on profile and belonged to a well known group), and I can sit ALL the time to ensure I am relatively safe from physical damage. How do I protect myself from the phsycological damage?

I IM'd a friend and told her I had to ban 2 people from my property and she immediately started telling me about an incident that happened last night where 2 men showed up naked with their parts out...and funny enough, they were on my ban list! It is obviously a passion of thiers to show as many people as they can how truely crude and disgusting they can be.

Well, at least I was lucky enough that they didn't come into the next room in the store where I was SITTING on the furniture.

Names please.

IM me in game and I will be happy to give you their names. I will have to look at my banned list in world to see.

I do hope you filed an Abuse Report so we have the names of these people; such behaviour is completely unacceptable.

Unacceptable maybe, but all too common these days, in my opinion. And it started before June 6th too... (see Kris Ritter's forum signature for a quote)

I did not file an abuse report. I got tired of typing them lately lol. I've been bombed, had 10m prims in my doorway, been bombed again, whacked with a baseball bat out of my sim....lol. I got a "thank you we'll look into it" response once.

I will be happy to provide the time and dates in a report today with thier names and the name of the other person who had the same issues with them the night before later today if its still accepted 24 hours after the incident.

It never ceases to amaze me how seemingly mature people can act like complete and totally idiots. What can you say about guys like that? Their actions totally speak volumes about their character.

I had my land on PvP the other day. I had forgotten to turn it off from when a friend and I were playing around. Wel this guy comes flying over and stops past my property. He comes back, obviously noticing the land set to PvP, and starts hurling bombs all over the place. Well I quick turn PvP off and he lands on my deck and I freeze him for about 5 minutes. I just kept freezeing him. He tried to move but couldn't. Then I used my nifty Multi-Gadget to /jail him. After getting bored with the little runt bastard I ejected and banned him and went on with my day.

I am curious, any time I've been on anything that had "griefer's" people would join up and totally make them misreable. Why do you guys not do that? Why not form a Store group and have a list of known griefers and inform each other and have them all on ban? Inform the public yadda yadda.

Sorry that we haven't managed to deal with all the reports yet. I'll be happy to have your list, though what happens next will necessarily be unannounced.

Just a reminder to people filing ARs - please put the name of the griefer in the title of your report. Makes it so much easier to follow up efficiently.

ewww and prim juice is so hard to get off of furniture too. Did you call a professional cleaning crew?

Seriously though, I think what happened to you is horrible. Be sure to pass on the names to me in IM in world, I want to put these two on my ban list before they mess up my fancy furniture with their ahem prim happiness.

One more thing. Is there a script based way to add people to a parcel's ban list? The reason I ask is, we have all heard of dynamic notecard vendors that update themselves. A good example is SL Galleries notecard dispenser that has an updated list of current SL Art Galleries. Now how about a banlist dispenser that at the very least has an updated list of frequent griefers that landowners can manually add to their ban list and/or the better scenario would be if the ban list object could automatically update the parcel's ban list.

Any thoughts? Is that going too far? Name a few things that could go wrong with that plan.

Way to kick virtual arse!! But I don't get why people think things like that are fun..both situations. I mean I know they are griefers, but what fun can one really get out of making a ass out of themselves? It just cracks me up that they think that doing things like this is fun. Ruining another persons fun is never fun and just plain stupid in my opinion. I am sorry for both of you that you had to go through things like that and I hope that these people are delt with in a timely matter.

I also have filled out numerous ARs recently and watcht he blotter and have yet to see even one mention of an action taken to an AR filed in my Sim, not 1.
So like Kasi I am curious as to what the point in taking the time to do them is when I individually see no result.

Doing most of the things me might like to do to them to make them miserable is a violation of the TOS, so you subject yourself to being banned to get even.

The only allowable tools are those given to the land owner (freeze for 30 seconds, eject from land, ban from land). Which I freely use if I am around. But there is little I can do to the guy who left 8 cages on the patio deck of one of my model homes. I can only assume he was harrassing my customers.

They can easily teleport away and you have no way to follow them.

It is a violation of the TOS to post thier names here in the forum. But i like the idea of having a list available somplace else, unfortunatly what is to keep me from putting your name on it, even if you have not done anything?

Well, I would be a bit more aggressive than you ppl would do. I would simply find a way to put that person on a buddy list and have a group hunt them down for about a week. And simply camp them. Camping meaning killing pushing or whatever untill they log. And than possibly putting it on the forums to ridicule them..
