You can get the person's real life name.
Anyone who feels harmed by an SL resident, financially or via threat to your RL person, may obtain a lawyer and subpoena LL for information about the resident. It would be wise to file your lawsuit first, in the case of financial harm, or file a police report and talk to your D.A. in the case of criminal threats. It doesn't matter if the person is from Canada or France, you can still request the information in LL's files for that individual. Of course, the question remains, what do you do if you're in the U.S. and this person isn't. I'm not sure what you can or can't do when it comes to lawsuits across national borders. But, you could find someone from within the foreign country who would be willing to join your pursuit, and take it from there. In the case of threats, you'd only get a restraining order against the person... which does little good for you. Edited excerpt from the TOS: 8.1 Personal Information. Linden will not give any of your personal information to any third party without your express approval except: (...) to law enforcement or other appropriate third parties in connection with criminal investigations and other investigations of fraud; or as otherwise necessary to protect Linden, its agents and other Participants. (...) Linden can (and you authorize Linden to) disclose any information about you to private entities, law enforcement agencies or government officials, as Linden, in its sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to investigate or resolve possible problems or inquiries, or as otherwise required by law. |

we're -all- being tracked.
it's just a matter of how interesting a target you are at any given time. so speaking the 'neospeak' makes you sound like a good little drone... don't worry. you're safe to do as you wish, as long as you 'talk the talk.'![]() love your vendors, btw. ty really._____________________
