I thought we had signatures for advertising? I have all signatures turned off since they turned images on. This makes reading the forums less of a cluster. Now there are people who are advertising their business in the body of each forum post.

I think it's fine as long as the sig isn't obnoxious. (i.e. Breaking forum format, flash/sound effects, overtly mature content, tec.) I don't care. I'm quite adept at not paying attention to things I'm not interested in or dislike. (A skill that it seems a lot of people lack)

Yes, if they want to post an ad-let them. I can make up my own mind if I want to quit shopping at their stores.

There's this one really obnoxious enormous forum sig I saw a lot for awhile. I don't remember who was wearing it but it was seriously over 1000 px wide. Completely broke the formatting of the page. So I ignored offender.
One problem -- there's this enormous and ugly-formatted forum sig I've been seeing for awhile but I can't ignore the perpetrator because they moderate some sub-forum. I don't mind seeing some sigs, but some really piss me off. Even without images.

Yeah, the inability to ignore lindens and moderators is severly stupid.
If you feel the need to take action, go ahead, nothing we can do to stop you but at least we shouldn't have to read your drivel.

A better question might be, "Should people be able to complain about the same three or four people indirectly in every other post they post?" or "Do people easily get bored of WoW very quickly and revert to tired, negative, life-shortening, non-funny trolling that isn't healthy?"
Regards,
-Flip

There's a WAR going on, Flipper! A war for the HEARTS and MINDS of SecondLife forum readers.
Last time I checked the world and its entire survival was predicated on the outcome of this war.
We must not lose! Fight the future! What price bananas, where am I going with this.. Who am I? What am I doing here? Heeeeeelp.

Sometimes, there's someone who doesn't know there's a better way to automatically do it... so they may not even know how to do a signature on here. I once had a similar problem in an old email program when I didn't know I could append it via an option! Anyhoo, if you're reading this and say "That's me!", to setup your own signature on the SL Forums just go to: Use it well... then you will not have to copy and paste at the end of each post. ^.^

This might sound a bit funny, but when scrolling through threads, having a certain banner add on the bottom of someone's signature can actually make it easier to find their posts.
Does my add banner piss anyone off? Its intentionally plain and not too tacky.

Does my add banner annoy anyone? I've intentionally tried to design it to be plain and not too tacky. Sorry for the double post. First post froze and I hit stop and made another. The irony

You too, huh? I used to do this on a lot of techno music forums... because we'd have certain iconic codes and identity glyphs in our signatures, even atop of the forum avatars. I'd be like, "I know who that is!"

I should count the sigs... it's like little adverts everywhere...
Some are for-profit, some not, some are for personal, some for business... not all like, 1 or the other either, some llnes are blurred...
Sub-forum mod should not affect forums at large, that breaks usability of ignore for most users, I think.

(though honestly the color LL uses for Lindens is a tad hard to read now)
