1.0 = people wanting to make things sound like they're old tech.
2.0 = OMG We R cool (this is seriously versioning for marketing alone)
3.D = see 2.0

oh, and ibMapper's codebase is evolving in version 4... or something... dunno, I just sit in my lab and spit out code.
