SL having problems?

everything was fine for me in game except an apparent asset server issue... my Rl fiance and I both tried to drag an object to world about the same time and it never appeared. we logged to see if it was an issue and here we are. :P I certainly hope we don't loose the items we were dragging out.

Well 15 min have passed and no posts from the Lindens announcing that there is a problem. It would be nice to know there is a problem at their end rather than me chassing ghosts at my end.

There is another attack on the grid, necessitating that we shut it down to log-ins and clean things up. We anticipate this process will take a couple hours, and will post here when it opens up again.

I know this is totally frustrating -- for us too. We're working with the authorities to go after the people responsible for these attacks, as you know. When I have information to share I'll pass it on.

They are foolish for even thinking that the so-called "authorities" will do anything, if they even can do anything. It's not like it's just one retard script kiddie that is doing this. If one moron of that class throws a temper tantrum, he'll get his friends involved too, so you can't even ban just one IP.

The only solution to this is a more secure system. Beyond that, we simply had better get used to this crap happening every other day or so.

I agree. Although, things happen that they can't always control. I try to look at it that way. They must be beyond frustrated, too. Who wants to work on the weekend cause some loser attacks the grid?

Ya frustrating for them having to work on a weekend but do u realize how much money they actually make? If i had thier salery i would fine working on a weekend but i dont, i pay them.

Oh wonderful, so those of us in Europe lose out again. 2 hours is one thing for those of you in the US, but for those of us in Europe it means most of our night is gone when friends need to get to bed for work. It is already after 10pm here and 11 pm in Central Europe :(
