On the next update we will get a useless and annoying white flash and picture-dropping-away animation added to the snapshot function.
Overly thick glowy looking selected object indicator lines. Rotation snap increments that can't be toggled between degrees and fractions of radians. Bump Push Hit report that doesn't have copyable text. Use VBO and Share Drawables on the Debug menu - what do they do? _____________________

You know, I started a thread like this for an MMO I played once. One suggestion was /hood to make the hoods of the cloaks go up and down.. I was ridiculed and laughed at for making that suggestion. Then about 8 months later, the devs put /hood into the game.

I find camera controls useful when I want to look directly up when the alt or ctrl-alt has nothing to 'grab' onto.

I couldn't build without camera controls.
This business of making the lines more glowy and bigger sounds like it will be a huge problem, though. coco _____________________

The pay and buy features seem to decrease my balance most of the time. Who needs that?
If they have to have these balance decreasing features they could at least add an "increase balance" function to compensate. _____________________

OMG. No camera controls? are you kidding? You wouldn't ever be able to look at how your AV looks never mind the impact to those of use who build! I sure hope this was pure sarcasm!

The avatar movement controls could well be done away with.
Also chat, the interface would be a lot simpler if we couldn't move or chat. The display could be done away with, it's just a bunch of prims and avatars, and it's all make believe anyway. Besides, seen one prim, seen 'em all. _____________________

All the terrible laggy things nobody uses:
- texturing on prims, who needs it? It only adds to bandwidth and rendertime - the cylinder, sphere, torus, tube, and ring prim. Those round surfaces eat up way too many vertices. So this will open up SL to all those users who don't have the hardware atm. - particles, they're only used for terrible bling anyways - physics. Sims still use the old buggy 1.0 havok 1 engine. Removing it will make things a lot more stable. And it frees up that development time, to work on the real issues. Like adding animation effects to the UI. - multiple avatars per sim. Everytime there's more than one person in a sim, both server performance and client performance take a huge hit. Limiting the maximum number of avatars per sim to one immediately removes this problem. Maybe in long term we can even reduce this to zero. _____________________

I like some particles, and its not only bling...they can help create a romantic or magical ambience. Texturing does use up a lot of bandwith, especially for the number of people who prolly have bumpmapping and shiny still enabled. Gah!

Gah! sending a texture from point a to point b isnt the problem, the bandwidth usage for a 17kb image isnt that great, its grabbing those from the atari ST asset server, and your computer having to deal with that 2 megapixel strand of hair after that 1/3 of a second trip ![]() |

Bump Push Hit report that doesn't have copyable text. oooowhaaat? I have yet to use this, so I had no idea it was not copyable. That's just silly! _____________________

Animations are useless to me. Khamon waves, bows and sits. That's all I know how to do or care about doing. I've no idea how to use animations or deal with gestures. I'm not even sure that's the correct way to spell gestures. That's right on the top of my useless list, although, I do enjoy snickering at the walk overrides I see around the grid. Maybe they're not altogether useless.

Based on what I have seen of the town meeting so far, I would have to say that town meetings are useless.
No chat is getting through to me. _____________________

The "Download Second Life" function should be eliminated, and the installation program.

That's what I just said.. why is that even part of this site? Forums need to go too. The uninstall program can stay untill until it is no longer needed. Then - no lag, no script errors, no gray loading textures with white outlines, no conflicts between users, no overloading on the servers, no one spending their rent money on non-existent real estate or virtual toys. e-topia. _____________________

Did something change about camera controls lately? I've been using this script in my HUD every since we had this new ability, to prevent my camera from zooming into my neck when i use a outer shield prim. The last few days every time i leave mouselook mode it top views my head. :/ It never used to do that.
