I got introduced to SL a few days ago, and I signed up not realizing what a permanent thing my username was. Im beginning to think it sounds stupid and lame, what do you think? Its certaintly unique, googling Xlopos doesnt bring up any results  In Greek, your first name woild be "Chloros," and your last name makes me think of Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits... one Knopfler, two Knopfli. All you need is a quality nickname. Lash suggested an interesting "pimpy" one with "XL." Let your friends invent the rest--it is a 'belongingness' thing. _____________________

It's a good name, especially for a content creator. It's memorable, makes good intials (XK), and it's not at all like some of the l33t AoHell names that Isee runnig around. It shows creativity as it is an original name, which is a good thing. I say keep it.

With an unusual name myself, I find it makes people start conversations with you. People quite often come up and say "Cool name dude". I don't know if everyone gets that even with a name like John Smith or something, but its a good conversation starter either way

But serioulsy X, think of it as a conversation starter, an ice breaker--how many folks will walk up to you and say "Dude...cool name!" Xlopos suggests you are coming at life with some kind of classical perspective. And as far as Knopfli--I immedately thought of the publisher Knopf, suggesting one who approaches life in a literary manner--all in all I can think of worse ways of presenting yourself to the world. I suspect it certainly won't stand in the way of your getting laid.

Names in SL are in my opinion the best in any MMO. Some sound bad, to me, but still kinda sound like names.
There arent nearly as many Pwnzerawx, DARKDEMONHELLDOOMICUTMYSELFs, or ChampionHeroMaNs as most other online games. |
