Does anyone have a copy of the old shooting gallery that was by the welcome area?
If so, can I have a copy?

I was by the WA yesterday and did not see it.
I am looking for the one w/ the free pistols and the balloon targets. _____________________

If LL doesn't want to part with it, I would love to make you one, free of charge.
Or if you want to charge for its use I already have a system to make it split the money, I used to use it on my casinos. _____________________

Might as well see if it will work for what I have in mind. No need to reinvent the wheel. Ideally this would be REAL cheap/free for people to play. Thanks alot. _____________________

Drop what, the casino game?
The split system is simple and automatic. You don't see anything in action, it just mails the amount paid to a central server. This prim has debit permissions and counts the amount received up to L$1000, and then splits it and subtracts L$1000 from the total count. The server does output the current count and some statistics on touch. I'm not giving out copies of the games to anyone, but I suppose I could rig up a test system for you to try out. Let me know if you need any special features or something. _____________________

I remember that shooting gallery... old Linden content like that should be preserved in dispensable packs, somehow. If it's not going to go to use there, maybe it can at least find a funny home in the hearts of Resis. Ah. I remember using a Seburo on it for the first time (after having deployed the popgun previously), and I could feel the power in my hands. I imagine the Schwan variant would be rather entertaining!

Well. Technically most of the mainland is now a shooting gallery, if one were inclined.
One 'weapons sandbox' and three dedicated combat sims.... Yeah. We need a shooting gallery or two in SL. |

I enjoyed the old shooting gallery. It was fun running back and forth in front of the targets, letting people shoot you, making the nyah-nyah gesture . I also enjoyed ramming into the targets, flying or jumping and trying to get them all down at once.
At one time the backdrop behind the targets was solid, that was good for trying to knock the targets down because you would bouce back. Then someone decided to make the backdrop phantom. Then if you tried to ram them and missed you would go through the backdrop and have farther to go to try again than you would if you bounced off. I'd like to see the old shooting gallery put back up somewhere. _____________________

Not the shooting gallery, but I got a hankering for the old WA a while back and built a mock up of Stage 4. Posted pics in this thread here.
That said, I take it you're not needing the shooting gallery for nostalgia's sake. If you are though, I'd be glad to donate the replica stage to whatever project you're working on. |
