You can go to http://www.ulrikasheim.org/tools/name2key.html and put your avatar name in the query field, press enter, and it will give you your key.

Why would you want to be removed from the list? It's not like AV keys are secret or anything. You can get anyone's key pretty easily.

Here is mine: 4551f3d7-a82d-429b-af70-c4e25922d496

I think it's the word "key" that freaks people out. Maybe they should call it “unique AV id” instead.

If someone wanted your key, they could just stalk you with godmode, and use a sensor to grab it. :p

As if she'd give a shit. Last person I'd trust to do as I asked would be Ulrika.

Anyway, I know nothing about 'keys', so until I learn more I will assume it matters little. I may be wrong.

I wanted to let folks know that I am the only person with a name-to-key database who actively maintains an opt-out list. I will take your name off, if you send me a kind IM or email. I just rebuilt the database today with a new group of folks who requested an opt out.

Can you name one bad thing that could happen because I have your key? For the life of me, I can't.

Object/notecard spam, and those are TOS violations. So, nothing damaging.

I think that is even too scary for most. Maybe "your number" would be better.

That's not their user key -- it's a temporary key that will stop working in a day or so. Maybe someone can chime in with the exact timeframe.

Incidentally, if anyone wants an easy way to know their own key (which is handy sometimes) there's an item in my freebie box called "Touch key sayer" which does very much what it says.
