There are plenty of other threads about the damage caused by the removal of the PvP Abuse system but I'm too irritated to add to those. Most people here have probably never visited my sandbox. "Clubside's FunZone Sandbox" is a half sim in Jizo. I created it as a place for builders to win a few L$ while they were building rather than having to camp out. I added platforms with the GNUbie store's builder's texture, added a house for furniture builders, and spread out a number of rides and a dance club so people could take breaks and socialize. While I'm sure it was the L$ that got people there, either way I've been a "Popular Places" staple for nearly a month. Today, I had to close. The neighbors ran shops andwould have their customers thrown out by people using guns and bombs. In the past I merely got the PvP reports and tried to IM the culprits. Usually they were nice and I never had to ban anyone. Now I don't know if I should even stay in Second Life. I have been doing research since late April to build a website for SL, a combat system, and go to the SLCC to talk about the potential of SL for other things and how to help with player retention. I have spent over $10,000USD since I joined and was so excited. Now the only excitement I hear about is from my neighbors that I am shutting down a popular location that is usually full because her occasional customers get fallout. I can't get anything done with IMs from people hanging out and from nighbors coming in all the time and having no system to determine the culprit. Sorry for wasting another topic on what everyone already knows was a huge mistake: the removal of PvP Abuse listings.

/108/23/117156/1.htmlcheck out that thread you can get a shield at Crucials that will give you the names of the shooters. also LL will be bring back the PVP in some form so that we can get names of shooters. but in the mean time the shield at Crucials place made by Babbage Linden is the next best thing.

The problem with that is everyone has to wear it. And there have to be bullets or similar projectiles involved. I get reports from the neighboring sim of explosions crossing the border and launching customers far away.

turn outside scripts off in your sandbox. That way they can build, but not shoot.

Don't give in amig0; while we're waiting for LL to give us the proper controls, and they should have waited before opening the floodgates, this too shall pass. Regards, -Flip
