have you ever gotten alonely in SL

lol, it has happened to me, thought I want to be alone away form griefers in sandboxs... I have a small sandbox.. I got board and left(hopelessly going to return unless some friends are there)... I hate being alone -.- no fun I can nothing built or think of :/....

When I get bored I usually go flying around meeting new people, and exploring sims. It usually works because there's so much to see if you look around. You could also go to the weclome area and talk to people. Or you could go exploring the places on the pop places list. I didn't think I would like Transylvania since I'm not goth, but I went there and looked around, and it was fun with some great looking builds.

Most of time I seem to be pulling a travelcade of followers. While I'm working on projects they remind me of housecats on shopping day ... I just want to put the groceries away and they are batting around the oranges, jumping around the paper bags, getting into trouble

But occasionally I log in at odd hours and nobody is around, and I get so lonely I like the mischievous rabble that follow me around and have lightsaber fights and drive little cars around my builds while I am working. <3

I just dress in my best Trenchcoat Badass costume when visiting Vampire/Goth areas.
I need to add some silver stakes and anti-Vamp weapons to my attire for the look.

I have given up exploring due to the Security scrip users. I had a pleasant chat with one of them who said he posted signs on the land side. The "signs" or sign in his case just said security system and not no treaspassing. His security system sent me a warning. I had no idea of which way to flee so backtracked. Got hit by a push after leaving his Land. Not sure if I was ever over it.

I was flying along the coast and thought myself over Linden land. The next second I was being pushed through into landscape with no control. I was being pushed into the negitive values of the sim. Left my Tarn at -1000 meters. My Tarn was never returned to me. Another time I was flying over Linden land by myself and found myself being pushed into the center of the sim and out of the know map. I had to log off.

The joy of second life is leaving me. If I have to stay on my property for "safety" it is not worth it. I hate TPing and like to move around the land that I live.

Oh, I never get lonely. The singing rocks in my head keep me company all the time.

Hold on everybody!! Before we continue with this session. Lets clarify something:

You have rocks that sing in your head?

or:

The quality of the singing rocks?, in a "wow dude!, this rocks!" sort of way?

I make my friends.

It's the first, silly. The second doesn't make any sense and it sounds like you are crazy.

I've made several since I've been here.. I keep them in a special little folder in my inventory. They use far too many prims for my land.

I get lonely sometimes. I'd like to discover a place where people regualarly just go to talk--anyone know of such a place?

Of course other times I like being alone so that I can build or script.

Welcome area is the only place that I can think of that is like that.

yupyup.. as much as certain "I own SL types" piss and moan about it, its a great place to go chat.. I met nearly everyone I know (including my girlfriend) in the WA..

It is the best place to go meet people. It also has the advantage of being closely watched by the Lindens and any Grifers will be dealth with quickly.

When I get lonely, I play with myself.

Being lonely as you work though, that's a problem faced down by every professional writer. Typically they work at home, and they learn to forego friendships except as scheduled. It's a hard single life being a solo creative. This goes for anyone who works alone.

Get someone on IM and respond every five minutes. Set up that rhythm, and they'll get used to it. It's really reassuring when you're building at 700m.

*grabs a couple of bags while Aimee isn't looking, wraps them around her feet like socks and proceeds to slip and slide while running over the wood floors*

I am usually lonely in SL, but I can't do anything about it. I can't build with folks peeking over my shoulders. But I don't have any magic friend-making powers.
