BUNGIE developing in SL?

If someone like BUNGIE decided to get a sim, or two, or ten, for rapid prototyping - or brainstorming (I'll give credit here - it is VERY easy in SL to run with an idea and see if it heads in a direction you like.. even for us non professional farties), they will probably find the self-same problems that a lot of us find.

One thing I've long liked about Bungie is, in their games, having a straightforward, intuitive approach AND amazingly intricate details, like plot elaborations, for those who care about that sort of thing and want to dig deeper.

Anyone else here remember Pathways Into Darkness, or even, Minotaur?

Burke, how come you get all these things that you "can't say much about"? Hmm? Hmm? You're, like, making it all up, innit? :p

Oh, and BTW, Halo was dull as.

Bungie jumping in SL - I like it! I wonder why someone didn't think of that before?

Still got them in my Bungie Mac Action Sack ... before they sold out to the evil empire.

And never have played Halo. From what I've heard the final release was a mere shadow to what they were showing at MacWorld, back in the day, mostly due to the target platform of the XBox. But the time they shipped the Mac version, I didn't care anymore. Never used to be like that with their products.

I can't say much about it because I have not one, not two, but three sets of documents saying I can't say much. Actually. Two of them say that I'm allowed to divulge minor details to entice/annoy/tease about third-party collaboration. It's also possible it's not actually Bungie bankrolling the operation, but one of the lead developers.

Well, I'm not enticed, Burke, but I am annoyed. You can tell them that.

Each time I get a new Mac, I cycle through the names Leela, Durandal and Tycho.

I'm on Durandal again at the moment. :D

Furthermore, as Second Life goes to the Metaverse, and this becomes an open platform, Linden Lab risks lawsuit in court and [attachment culling] will, I repeat WILL be reverse in court.

Do you think it's a hoax? :)
No actually, we believe that you believe with all your heart that LL will one day produce a product that'll market as something more useful than an elaborate toy.

Marathon was the prettiest FPS back in the day. I missed out on Durandal. But I did get Infinity. If you're a Red Vs. Blue fan you'll see some hawt Marathon action on the more recent episodes.

Aha! I managed to get a TP into the Bungie dev sim. It's not technically Bungie. The dev people did come from Bungie, the ones who recently left to go do their own thing.
Well. I'm in the beta concept testing right now.

Here's a screenshot.
