Not 100% sure but I think its the thing that tells you if someone is online or offline. Like for example on your friend list you may see someone as being offline and then you get IM from them or something and find out that they are online.

It means they found residents were present on the grid and having fun and we just can't have that.
So they closed SL to fix this presence issue. It worked too. No one is present now, right? _____________________

Presence is whether you are online or not, and how the system reports it.
The issue is that there are some people who are on, and may be right in front of you, but are registering as offline on either the search or friend list. Issue's about a week old. Got fixed. Now I guess it got unfixed. _____________________

I would see them in front of me and IM them then get the pop up stating (so and so) is online. Ver ver strange. they needa feed that server-gerbil better cheeze |
