furry detectors :o

well a while back i became aware that some crafty sl scripter had invented a tiny detector. this scripter would use the detector to selectively abuse tiny avatars. this was quite funny, but to be politically correct i must agree that this is very impolite and racist behaviour.

well more recently i came across a player who shall remain protected by the naming names policy who tried to sell me an anti furry device. apparently it detects furries, bans them from your land, detects their isp address, bans their alts, then communicates the information to a an external database and, hacking into LL's database using an automated bot script, it steals personal information including credit card. it then is sells all of that to an algerian identity theft scam which opens large lines of credit to fund hamas.

from what i understand the only defense is to hop like a dinosaur.

Does it also turn their monitor off, order them pizzas that they didn't want and pull their chair away when they try to sit down?

I have an anti-furry device. It's a special stone you carry that ensures you never meet a furry. As evidence, friend and I have been testing this device for an extended periood of time and not once, ever, have any of us had an antropomorphic animal enter visual range. Jauani, you can't detect what AV a person is wearing, you can detect their height (for tinies) , but not their AV, hence there can't be a way to do what you were told.

Yeah, llGetFurry was borked in the last update. However, llGetAttachmentType(key id, integer position) still works.

P.S: I hear in 1.9.1 permissions are bugged, and you can use llRemovePants(key target) without first requesting PERMISSION_STRIPNAKED from the avatar.
