I can't recall exactly - nudity just seems to be a theme I'm not complaining, I find it amusing._____________________

Still hot. Still a guy! (dunworry cocoa, is no biggy!) I CAN access main SL forums, at a cost of $5 an hour. The free MWR tent blocks the main forums, so SLuniverse will be the fall-back.
Now, for more noise. I don't have a mailing address yet. We won't have one till we hit Iraq. I sleep in a tent with like, 50 other guys. I am the only one with a votage converter. Me and my Lappy are the kings of movie night! BTW, if you feel like helping, that is what we need! All our US plugs won't FIT these 220 outlet things and converters are hard to come by. Besides that, other doodads for those who feel happy would be...camelbacks (the issued ones are dying fast, suprise), drink mix, baby wipes,and reading materials. Other than that, thanks ever so much for the well-wishing! I'll try to keep a psuedo-blog going, between here and SLU, regarding my happenings, Gods and Lindens willing! The still overheating, Spc. More updating from the Mideast. I can finally hop online for a second. We're moving north, I just can't say where, yet. Still hot and sandy. My laptop crapped out on me, so no SL for real for the duration of the deployment, it seems. Still don't have a solid address yet. We're living in tents, wood hutches, and everything. Ramadan is going on, so we gotta wear all our gear everywhere...flack vest, kevlar helmet, rifle, ammo, and we've been mortared more times than I can count, AND all that gear is heavy as sin! Hopefully we'll be settling down soon!

Well, if you remember the post, I'm deploying back to Iraq. Come Monday, I'll be off to the desert. Should be an interesting next 12 months! I should have net access. However, between a wimpy thinkpad, and high-latency sat. connection, no main SL. Will still have the forums though, so, once I get back in the loop, I'll drop some messages! If anyone, for any wierd reason, wants a update as to what's going on with me, talk to Giridian Molinari in-game. Dats de RL spouse. If you write me, I'll promise to write back! Send me a care package, I'll love you FOREVER! Send me a disposable camera, and I'll send it back in a week full of Iraq picture goodness. When I get it, it'll be an APO-AE address, so it's the same costs as sending things to any normal US area. Love you all, will miss you all, and SL better be here when I come home! Hey Verbena you be safe over there my rl hubby is working over there (non gi) speaking from experience forget much access to the web its far and few between exchanges. He's currently in Uzbekistan but demobing into Afghanistan soon. My prayers are with you and your family. Be safe. Well, after a VERY freaking nighttime flight in a CHinook, that involved us getting shot at...more than once....with missiles....We made it to camp Taji. Everyone in the unit is safe and whole, and we're settling in for the duration. Now I'm doublymad about the laptop thing, cause this place has a bootleg wireless all across the camp, that I can't use..wagh!
Still no address yet, but we're hoping to get it soon. Living in old bombed out Iraqi barracks. Half of our walls are made of ponchos taped up. Real bed though, so it's ok. I hope to keep posting as often as possibile within reason, with updates. Things are going ok enough, being stuck in Iraq. 15 more months to go! |

Hah, Just had to. To polish off this epic, year long thread...and for those who remember...and care...I'm coming home soon! I can't say when, but tour 3 of OIF is coming to completion. After multiple accidents, attacks, medevac home, Purple Heart, and re-deploying, my year in the sand is ending! I hope to see my SL again soon, and I'm really dreading the update downloads!
