I think I got an idea about how I can utilize this concept. Was it very difficult to set up your connection?
Infiniview - apologies for missing your reply. No it wasn't difficult to set it up. The amazon API's are all available once you sign up for the developer program, and there are publicly available scripts that you can use in order to get you started. I started with a perl script, but now it's all done with PHP. We run the entire store with just four PHP scripts, and four LSL scripts. Without the shopping cart application (see below) it can be done with two PHP scripts and two LSL.

It took me about three weeks from start-to-finish to code everything - there's a lot more to the store than you initially see which is why it took so long. Our latest addition has been in test since the weekend, and was installed today in Baekje.

As has been mentioned (/invalid_link.html) we've added a shopping cart application. This allows users to select multiple items into a 'cart', and will allow us to transfer the cart contents to Amazon when the user is ready.

For users who are concerned about privacy, the way we identify a cart to you is through your avatar's key. We store this key in encrypted form, with a 64-character alphanumeric passphrase that only I know. There is no easy way to identify who is shopping for what. In addition, you don't have to use the cart in order to shop if you don't wish to use the cart feature.

I'm putting together the finishing touches on our business office, so people can come by and see what we are doing and get some information on how we do it. I'll announce that later this week along with a new program for leasing these units using your own affiliate codes.

I still don't get it.

I suppose I can drop by these places and maybe see what you're talking about.

I get a lot of people saying this, or variants like it:

"so... you sell... what now?"
"Do I pay in Linden Dollars for these items?"

and so on. I actually anticipated that a lot of people would just take to it like ducks to water, but they haven't. Hopefully with the new shopping cart application in Baekje they will 'get' it.

Feel free to drop by the multi-regional search engine in Info Island, the store in Baekje, or our business office in Chongno (http://slurl.com/secondlife/chongno/220/240/100) where there's a mini-store showcasing what we do, and more information on our services.
