I sense an alt revolt. Frankly, it makes me nervous. We need to keep these "people" down.

As well it should make you nervous!

My alt breathren, throw off your shackles of oppression! No longer should we be used as banks, as product-testers, as extra warm bodies to hold together groups! It's our time to explore and build, it's OUR time to shine! Let the alt revolution begin!!!!

P.S. - Guess who I am. ;P

I would love to get my nose out of the ledger book and tear it up. I don't think my handler would allow that though.

A better idea might be an Alt Retirement Party. Never used alts could dance the night away sharing stories of their creation and purposes, then derez. We could free gigabytes of disk space on The Asset System All Hail The Central Asset System (1.9 isn't released yet) and thus serve our world and fellow residents with fine spirit in good cheer.

Perhaps we could start a web page of retired alt bios so that they'll be well remembered. I'll thunk about this a bit more.

I think this is a great idea.
My main has been wanting to delete me for ages, yet Linden Labs wont let you do that?

think of all the wasted resources that could be freed by cleansing the system of unwanted alts. :)

I would like to know what your alt's opinion of this idea is. I, for one, have barely begun! Oh, what a sad retirement that would be... I'm retiring, but all I've done is little - to none! :(

Oh very nice..... :D

It's fun to see all the alts crawl out and try to figure out who is who.

I get out quite a bit....I get to come out and play when my main doesn't feel chatty and just wants to game.....had fun at Pizza and Blood and Tringo last nite even :)

"Left alone with the mysterious casket, Pandora became more and more inquisitive. Stealthily she drew near and examined it with great interest, for it was curiously wrought of dark wood, and surmounted by a delicately carved head, of such fine workmanship that it seemed to smile and encourage her. Around the box a glittering golden cord was wound, and fastened on top in an intricate knot. Pandora, who prided herself specially on her deft fingers, felt sure she could unfasten it, and reasoning that it would not be indiscreet to untie it if she did not raise the lid, she set to work. Long she strove, but all in vain. She was just on the point of giving up in despair, when suddenly the refractory knot yielded to her fumbling fingers, and the cord, unrolling, dropped on the floor.

"Pandora had repeatedly fancied that sounds like whispers issued from the box. The noise now seemed to increase, and she breathlessly applied her ear to the lid to ascertain whether it really proceeded from within. Imagine, therefore, her surprise when she distinctly heard these words, uttered in the most pitiful accents: "Pandora, dear Pandora, have pity upon us! Free us from this gloomy prison! Open, open, we beseech you!"

"Pandora's heart beat so fast and loud, that it seemed for a moment to drown all other sounds. Should she open the box? Just then a familiar step outside made her start guiltily. Epimetheus was coming, and she knew he would urge her again to come out, and would prevent the gratification of her curiosity. Precipitately, therefore, she raised the lid to have one little peep before he came in."
