Today now at 15.37.28 - 24th of April (8 months to Christmas and lots of gifts but thats another ting - sorry) - NOW! We are: 194,787...
And I dont care about alts....  WHEN will we be 200.000? Maybe my orld friend Pham can tell - and I wil be cleaning windows at Kaster Verloren.. as I prob (I dont remeber) told that 200.000 will be in sept or.. oct or.. /Tina - Not the most EXAKT when it comes to Excell sheets...sorry.. _____________________

Step 1: Read an article in any major print publication or online equivalent which marvels at the "virtual community" of Second Life.
Step 2: Realize you can join for free (never mind you can't own land or even ditch the gimpy newb walk without spending money). Step 3: Log in. Rush through the intro tutorial so fast you don't know where your inventory is, or how to maneuver your camera. Step 4: You do, however, figure out how to use "Find". Type in "sex". Go to one of the new free-sex builds or an escort club. Welcome to Second Life 2006. _____________________

But remember it's the few that can make a large impact on SL. The majority of new users will find SL neat and mgiht stick around. A smaller portion will come here for sexxorz. An even smaller portion will love SL and prosper. And an even smaller portion will find SL to be a place for their ideas to be realized. It's this final and smallest portion that are the shapers of SL's future. But you can't find gold without panning out a LOT of dirt. |

200,00 will be reached on Friday - latest. As this number is NOT updated continuously, we might see the 2 in the first digit on Saturday here in Europe, Tina! With the Business Week cover and SL being slashdotted, Friday seems more plausible though. They are checking out SL and will realize after a few hours, days or weeks, that it's not for them. There is not much reason for this type of resident to get an alt. Still, the hard core of SL is growing, too. At more than 10% a month. And that is quite a growth rate! |

We will hit 200,000 on Friday (officially, internally probably earlier).It's a myth, that a substantial amount of those residents are all alts; a popular myth but still just ... a myth. Still, the hard core of SL is growing, too. At more than 10% a month. And that is quite a growth rate! Correction its 20% a month growth.......... monday might be a better target date. since its thursday western world time.......depends.If we say on a clear target without grid interuptions. tehn we should be hittting soon  |
