If this project fails, you will never have anyone to blame but yourself.

Interesting? I would be to blame? Please elaborate. What exactly have I done wrong?
What are accusing me of here?

Trying to explain myself, I found I couldn't quite put the reasoning to words, so perhaps the comment should have never been made, because it is wide open for interpretation and easy to inject ill will into the statement. It's not intended, I just don't much care for the idea that when something didn't go the way you intended, that it is a failure and it is someone else's fault for that.

I suppose I'm driven by the belief that when you have an idea or wish to discuss a certain topic, when you unleash that upon a larger group, then it is no longer yours really. Someone can take the idea and build an entirely different concept from what you envisioned. People can steer a topic far off from the discussion you wanted to have. You gave your ideas to a larger group of people in the hopes your expectations could be met, but it's no guarantee that it will be so. That is the risk you take, for if it does meet your expectations, there is a great sense of accomplishment. And when it doesn't... there's no one really to blame.

If you feel that there simply must be blame, then there is only yourself. If it's because you feel the people steered clear of the Constitution, perhaps maybe because you did not set the example strong enough, make your intentions clear enough, make your arguments well enough... for you are an element of a project's evolution and can't expect it to evolve your way without some serious effort on your part. I would say that of every person involved who feels the project isn't what they had hoped.

I'm not a fan of blame really.

A generalized reflexive accusatory statement posited -- yet rendered illogical by reductio ad absurdum. This has been your one-sentence philosophical smack down for the day. :D
