Advertising N'burg

N'burg should start to add advertisements, and should create a new image.

Some Problems:

- Not many people know about N'burg.
- The picture in the find window, does not make N'burg look good.
- There is nothing much to do in N'burg (Sorry!)
- Can't really see N'burg from the Anzere Telehub!

Solutions:
- Metadverse
- More events in N'burg
- More activities to do in N'burg
- Better Image

Sounds like we should appoint you to head up the "I Love Neualtenburg" program!

What kind of $$ are needed for those things? Like the metadvertise?

Funnly enough I was just thinking we need someone with some ideas for promoting Neualtenburg, interested in the job?


I'd like to see two 'campaigns'. A general one simply raising the profile of Neualtenburg, the tourist campaign. That one could be 'ad art'. This should include advertising the casino.

The other thats needed is targeted advertising of Neualtenburg as an event venue. I'd like to see an advert on the forum once a month advertising our services.

In our 'government' terms, I'm the acting head of the Artisans Guild, (the workers). Its my job to know what the RA (The politions) have agreed needs doing and find someone to do it.

The RA wants an advertising campaign, and they want ppl to come to the city, and play in the casino. I need someone to take on that job. If your interested

As Sudane said, money for expenses is available. Although its noticable that the question over paying workers for their efforts for the City has not arisen in the RA meetings.

My plan for advertising Neaultenburg:

- Join the MetaAdverse
- Hire a designer to make an advertisement
- Create a special area in Ulrikasheim.org to advertise Neaultenburg, the current Neaultenburg area is good, but its a bit outdated and does not really advertise what Neaultenburg has to offer. (If possible)
- Weddings should be made possible in Neaultenburg (anyone would love to have a wedding in that beautiful church!)
- Change the description and image in the "find" program.
- Advertise the Linden Ski Run next to the bridge.
- Advertise the casino (talen, great job on the casino)
- Have events to advertise political nealtenburg, have a political convention.
- When structures are created, have opening ceremonies and parties (some people will come!)
- Add more decorations to Neaultenburg, to make it look less gloomy (fountains, chairs, statues)
- When renting the homes, make them comfortable, add security systems, doors, fireplaces, etc.
- Make a travelers guide/brochure, so people know what is what and where the shops are.
- Make neaultenburg merchandice, such as shirts, and hats.
- Add signs to the streets, exit signs, etc.
- Add notecards to the neighborhoods of Neaultenburg to explain the history and the purpose of the neighborhood.
- When making apartment rentals, make one building a lounge for the renters.

Also some buildings need some working on, such as the entrances. The entrances should be more welcoming, have the name neaultenburg on it, notecards, and maybe even a big wooden door to make it look more medival.

This is good work.

Can I suggest you split it up into things to advertise Neualtenburg and things that could do with changing to improve Neualtenburg froma touristy piont of view. We can put the second into some sort of form to go up to the RA for agreement.

From the advertising campain lot, what can you do and what are you going to need help with? Can you write copy? Slogans? Create posters?

I think the wedding idea is a good one. I wonder if we could script wedding decorations to appear when required? Chase Gwyn down, she may be willing to actual perform a "service " of some kind if required.

To change the find, get some copy and a picture together and pass them to Ulrika.

I like the lounge idea for tenants.

Ok, today I bought a this giant blimp, . My idea is to post a huge advertisement on the blimp while the blimp flies around .

I am pretty sure that the blimp does move, because I have seen a few without pilots moving near Abbots. If they are, I would like the blimps to fly from welcome area (Ahern) to Neaultenburg, and one blimp to fly North-South to Neaultenburg. Eventually there could be somekind of "blimp airline", and a docking station for the blimps 700 meters high in the air (just an idea )

I am currently working with an advertiser to make an advertisement for neaultenburg, to put on billboards and blimps.

There are going to be two types of advertisements.

- Vague: Just the Neaultenburg Projekt Logo.
- Detailed: The detailed ad talks about the casino, skiing area, shopping, and the rentals.

If you need me to work up the graphics for either type of advertisement, I'd be willing to do that. During my commute, I often work on graphics just to have fun. Check out my website for a sample of what I can do (I'm good but I'm not Kendra good).

be careful advertising in Ahern ... all the welcome areas are off limits to advertising.

Yes, all welcome areas, all public sandboxes... and I guess most private land won't be too happy about it, either.

On the other hand, a properly worded question like "Would you like a balloon trip to Neualtenburg? It's free!" and where you explain you won't be charging anything nor selling anything or inviting people to groups or so, that would eventually be admissible, especially if the "advertising" is... subtle!

A blimp just with Neualtenburg's colours and the coat of arms and nothing else will probably raise questions, but not be viewed as "offensive"

Ah. We can also announce things at the telehubs, on the Resident Advertising Boards. It's easy to set up, but the truth is, people do not look much at them..,.

I want to know how much money is available for advertising. I am willing to donate some of my money too.

Get a quote and I'll cover the costs, provided it's within reason.

I'm working on the graphics. I'd like to hold on a week or so though until we decide the course for the next phase of our project.

If we do decide to partially privatize (sell grant deeds with covenants), I'll focus the campaign on advertising available lots and rental units with a release date. If not, I'll just make it a general campaign.

I'll be starting some advertising material this week (I already have a new signature). I'll generate a few banners and lay the groundwork for a web page for phase two of the project.

After talking to Sudane, it seems likely that we'll settle on a combination privatization and bonds to fund the new sim. I'll start creating advertisements that allude to that.

OK. Now that our plans for the next phase of the project have been finalized, I'll release the first banner advertisement by the end of this weekend. This is timed to coincide with the completion of the website redesign, which will contain new information about the second phase of the project.

Now that we're getting close to our official launch date, it's time to advertise. I'll make two advertisements myself, one in a long banner format suitable for web pages and another 4:3 image for use in billboards. If anyone else would like to join in, feel free!
