Ah in that case could you post some genuine pictures? I'd really like to wear the genuine article.

Hats and other things (for men, women do not wear hats!): http://www.trachtenshop-bayern.de/index.php?cPath=75_92&osCsid=7025a51903ad7884771a60772c585462

You can really get a lot ideas starting on http://www.trachtenshop-bayern.de/index.php?cPath=109&osCsid=7025a51903ad7884771a60772c585462 and click on thepictures in the main frame.

There is a nice story about actual trends of the Oktoberfest 2005 in German: http://www.muenchen.de/verticals/ShoppingGuide/143526/03storyderwocheflipflopskw37.html ... anybody volunteers to translate it? They say, that short Dirndls in apple-green and pink are now trendy. Flip-Flops in the same color are a good choice for shoes.

And then there is the official website at http://www.oktoberfest.de, again in German, but maybe some of the pictures could initiate creative processes ... (http://www.oktoberfest.de/de/10/galerie.php?date=050918_trachtenzug&img=0 and then click on "weiter";)

I have a custom request for a Dirndl once you get your generic patterns down. I'd need it to be a one-of-a-kind outfit with specifications that I'll provide. Let me know when someone has some time, once the bugs are worked out. :)

I met her in Nburg and told her about the Oktoberfest and the Dirndls. She was interested in designing a rubber one immediately, and I like it very much! Really, although it is not what we normally would understand as a Dirndl.

I am going to buy this one.

I just recently started visiting this area of SL, is why no one recognizes me :)

Making a rubber dirndl was hard to design because it wasnt cloth, there are only so many different looks you can work with when its just black rubber :) I think it came out very nice however, it looked wonderful on Ditzy, who I designed it for. I'm all about classic looks and also modern ones, and I think if there is any way to modernize a Dirndl that would have been it hehe. I'd love to work on more!

dirn·dl (dûrndl) n.
1) A full-skirted dress with a tight bodice and low neck, that is either sleeveless or has short full sleeves.

2) A full skirt with a gathered waistband.

And Lilac Lady:

Great outfits! Are they for sale in a store somewhere? I'm in world so infrequently that it would be more convenient for me to pop in when I had some time.

*bump* ... yes, I know ...

Anyway ... I bought a red one. Kendra, they are so beautiful! I really love them!

Garnet and Angel Sunset recommended that the red one would best go with my character! :-) You really did a great job!
