As Hamlet said" "The play's the thing!"

And so to break in our new troupe of thespians I present the very thing you need: a play!

I have cunningly crafted a work that should appeal to both the artistically enriched and short attention spanned Lifers amoungst us.

I call it "Waiting for Godot - the abridged version"
---------------
Curtain.

Estragon is leaning against a tree, contemplating his navel.

Enter Vladamir.

Estragon : Yo Vlad!

Vladamir : Wattup Estragon?

Estragon : I'm waiting for Godot.

Enter Godot.

Godot : Shizzle!

Curtain.
-------------------------

Siggy.

For those of you who didn't have the patience to read through Siggy's *entire* play (I know it was challenging), here's my abridgement of his abridgement of Waiting for Godot:

---------------
Curtain.

Enter Godot.

Godot : Where is everyone?

Curtain.

The Bhodi Tree Artists Collective is now staging an experimental theater tribute to the classic Cubey Terra abridged abridged Waiting for Godot.

Audience sits around waiting for someone to pull up the curtain.
No one ever does.

In the program the curtain-puller is listed as... Godot.

That's all too funny! That would be a great prelude to a real show, ;). There would be some random person handing out the insert to the programs that said, "Fooled You! Ha Ha! Ok now on with the show!" LOL. :)

Nice one Cubey, but we don't wanna put all our eggs in one basket... we should save your scripts as a tantalizing sequel..

Godot II -- The Arrival!

And another great tribute I humbly submit for consideration the adaptation of 'Atlas Shrugged' -- the abriged version.

Curtain.

Enter Atlas.

Atlas : /shrug

Curtain.

Just to bring everyone up to speed here is the pic of the partway finished Globe in Varney. There is still much to be accomplished, so don't be discouraged! If anyone has suggestions on improvements or just brainstormy ideas, please share. Many more details about the project will be answered in our first meeting, for more info on that please refer to my post in the General Discussion board.

RL has kept me kind of tied up, but WOW, I'm really impressed with how far this has come!

When is our next acting lesson?

Good qustion Bhodi. I will leave that to you guys to decide when you want the first acting lessons event. The theatre is still not yet finished but it's usable. Right now I am installing a control panel for the two trap doors and to work the lights when I install them.

That is toooo cool. It can't get much better than that, Osemab. Congrats!

I think acting lessons would be convenient for everyone if held during the weekends.
There's my suggestion.
;)

Time to dig this post out of the pile and onto the top of the heap. ;) David Cartier has just proposed a venture to me. There may be some big changes happening soon in Darkwood and one of those possibilities is the Globe moving to Darkwood! That's right, the "O" Theatre may find it's final resting place in the land of fantasy, roleplaying and medieval flare! Besides it was the first place I considered building the Globe in the beginning. Just a friendly little post to remind people that my theatre ISN'T dead! :)
