What have you seen recently?

Not just the places you can teleport to. Be sure to fly around and explore.

Another vote for Svarga, too.

Prokofy Neva's house. Architecture for SL, not reality.

Futureperfect took me by surprise a couple of days ago. It's the most lush sim I ever saw.

Thanks for the link! Beautiful place, already sent the landmark to several of my friends :)

4D house directions.
1. You go to the telehub.
2. After everything rezes, look at the floor and there is an arrow.
3. Walk into prim and it will shoot you threw a tube.
4. There will be a teleporter at the end of your journy.

Don't forget to sit down if the house says it's going to reset.

A real marvel of creation and texturing.... Damanios' Telescope. The entire store and displays are well worth the visit.

I saw a "working" mirror in a bathroom The person built a replica of the bathroom on the other side of the mirror!

Then I proceeded to sit on the other side and look through to the real bathroom while my friend came over and saw me as his reflection. :D

Ooh, we're famous! I think this is the one you found:

It's kinda tricky to get there... you have to go down into the slums first and find the strip club, otherwise you just end up in the market that's above the bathroom.

It's not the most recent thing that made me go WOW but The Lost Gardens of Apollo is one of my places of inspiration whenever I need some building motivation.

Sculpture show Aliens! by Light Waves. Shepard 247 161 82

Funny sculptures with great building technique and interesting use of the SL platform. Note the semi transparency on the movie DVD. AND the artist is giving away free copies of the sculptures.

I don't remember where it is, but there is a haunted house. It costs L$1, and you get into the cart, and then have some fun with the "Mouselook". After the ride is over you get a free T-shirt. Very much recommend it...

It was called Spookhouse. And there is a "Freebie" Bizarre just East of of it.

The last thing I remember that made me say wow was seeing a car at flying tails sandbox, I like cars, and I own some of the best in SL, The Dominus Shadow, the Kadzilla, The Nissan Sentra, and many others.
However this one absolutely blew me away. It was called the Grizzly, (I spoke quite a while to the guy scripting it) unliike most Sl cars this one was very detailed, it has good textures, but the real impressive thing was the fact that it had 270+ prims. It was very simular to the civillian version of the hummer, or perhaps one of the newer jeeps. Anyway it was a SUV, not my favorite type of car, but the detail on this just made it look out of place driving around SL.

He told me that they got around the 31 prim limit by making part of the car into an attachment. I ended up buying one from the company he was working for, and got other one they were selling as well. (btw they both drive well and have after several updates they have a hud for rezzing the attachment part)

I don't think they have an in world headquarters yet, but the scripter has a chunk of land set up as a car lot where several people have their cars and he has several displays of their stuff. I realy hope more carmakers in SL start doing this, my collection will realy expand.
heres the sURl to his hmm, guess I'd call it a parking lot.

One of the best constructions/designs I have seen in SL - gorgeous spherical buildings... not so much a 'wow' as a steady appreciation of a high quality design/build...

AvaStar Island, offices of AvaStar tabloid newspaper - The AvaStar 68, 201, 62

Good read as well :o)

Holographic animations vendor in Suffugium. Which was a while ago but sprang to mind when that sim got mentioned. Damn, that thing is amazing.

Most recently? *thinks* Might be a 100m tall mechanical dinosaur thing in a sandbox. One of those things that can't quite believe someone actually built from start to finish. There's many things that are beautiful in SL, but the ones that really stagger my mind are the things that bring amazement that someone *thought* of this thing and *built* it and that it exists in-world.
