when i pay money to it with a alt i get the money returned even thou i have all my id numbers in.
I know they killed banks... but this?

I know they killed banks... but this? The money is supposed to remain in your main avatar's account. The Alt Bank simply allows specified avatars to draw cash from you. The Owner avatar makes funds available by 'paying' the bank. The linden balance on the owner's account remains unchanged, however, until funds are withdrawn (or deposited) by one or more of the authorised users. Great idea and kudos to Deight for making it available to everyone. I'd imagine couples, business partners and certain (very trusting) groups will find the alt bank useful - I already do. From: Kator Bergson seems to be a slight issue with this code as the llTimer event is firing too soon Kator's suggestion appears to work although I have only tried it a few times since. Nevertheless, the Alt Bank was misfiring on almost every first attempt prior to making the change. It's a small glitch and aren't RL ATMs a little temperamental also? The machine at my local branch often apologises for its "current inability to respond to my request". |

From: Zeera Xi I don't really understand the importance of this script. I could easily log in a second client while keeping my main client on. If you can't figure this out then i give you a hint to read on the wiki about something called "Command Line Parameters". Not everyone has enough memory or bandwidth to quickly run a second instance of SL. Even a first instance can take a while - I just time my laptop at 57 seconds from starting SL to being able to move or chat. A device like this would probably take less than half that time, including the time to TP home and back to wherever I was. |
