Dominion font :D

From: http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/4965/tfont.html#dominion

There is only one Dominion font that seems to be used by the Shapeshifters, Jem Hadar, and Vorta. Perhaps the Tosk & Hunter/Navigators and the Kareema traders also use it.

See if you can find out what the texture file is for Impeach Bush. I hear SL is setting this as a standard system texture so it will be preloaded. Apparently it is one of the most used textures in the game. By making it a system texture it will be loaded faster and improve the SL experience for all users.

This is slightly off-topic, but what is the default font size for notecards? 10? 12? Not sure, but I'd like to know for a variable width ASII art editor I found.

Here are all the font related settings i know of

CODE

FontMonospace profontwindows.ttf
FontSansSerif MtBkLfRg.ttf
FontSansSerifBold MtBdLfRg.ttf
FontSansSerifFallback ArialUni.ttf
FontSansSerifFallbackScale
FontScreenDPI
FontSizeHuge
FontSizeLarge
FontSizeMedium
FontSizeMonospace
FontSizeSmall

I don't know the default values for the other settings, if someone will post them...

I can't get the font size to work; the lines keep getting removed from the settings.ini file after I log in. :/

From: Strife Onizuka
One of my favorite settings is "RotationStep" it's default value is 1, it's the value rotating manualy along an axis in the build tools snaps to. Anything smaller then a 1/10 of a degree gets difficult to control.
CODE

RotationStep 0.1

This has no effect for me.

Do you know of any settings to make the prim edits (cut, hollow, twist, top size/shear, etc) have finer increments?

remember it's a tab character seperating them, not spaces.

You cannot, they are hard coded. The structures that SL uses for objects do not support higher bit depths.

I'm using a tab but they don't work. I don't see any rotational increment change in either the object editor or the "grid" (snap planes).

I'm not talking about "higher bit depths" (more floating point precision) but, obviously, the increments can move in lower amounts than, say, 1-degree increments for the rotation sliders, less than .5 for cuts, etc. I just want to knock these down to .1 both.

ohhh

RotationStep only effect the snapping done with freeform rotating or when you use the rotation handles on the object, there isn't any way to effect the increment of the buttons in the edit box that i know of.

And you cannot be logged in while editing the settings file.

Well, when I use the rotation handle/gizmo/planar control it rotates in .5 increments, not .1 (which is what I have RotationStep set to...

dunno what to say, never had a problem with it, i use 0.05 for my increment,
maybe your not using an editor that supports tab characters?

Um, what kind of editor doesn't support tab? I'm not having a problem with tab characters, Strife... .05 doesn't give .1 rotation (or .05 for that matter) increments either; rotation still occurs at .5 increments. You said .1 in your original post, by the way, implying you get .1 rotation increments with that setting...

Which settings file?
03-19-2006 06:50
I would like to put this to use to increase my font size even larger, but you didn't specify which settings file I need to edit?

Is it the Panel_settings_chat file?

And if so, does it matter where in this file I place the edit? Also, one last thing, how do I tell it what size font to use instead?

Basically if you could post an example of exactly what I should place into the settings file you specify, that way I can copy it from your post and paste it into the file that would help me a lot! Thank you

No, to set the script editor font size, along with the size of fhe font used in other parts of the program that use the monospaced font, which may have undesirable side effects, you would add this line:

From: someone
FontSizeMonospace 12

You might find that a different number works better for you.

You might want to make a backup copy of the settings.ini file just in case something goes wrong.

Remember, this editing should be done while Second Life is not running.

You might want to make a text file with just this line and name it with a name you can remember and put it in a place you can find later, since this change will have to be made everytime SL gets updated, and I think we have an update occurring tomorrow.

If you screw up the settings.ini file, you can just delete it and the client will default all values, (or you can just remove any offending values and they will default).

Note: there should be a tab, not a space, between "FontSizeMonospace" and "12".

Just being cautious in my suggestion about making a backup. A person might, for example, have the only copy of some customization they have entered in the settings.ini file and nowhere else.

Come to think of it, that happens to be the case for me at the moment.

I've read this thread regarding font changes in SL editor (and other parts).

Where is this so called settings file?

Thanks,
