Now you don’t need 4 homesteads to convert to a full region anymore, they didn’t announce it anywhere they just changed on the support pages.

In December people were even buying new homesteads (openspaces at that time) to have 4 of them converted to a full region.

Now you just need 3 homesteads to convert to a full region, which means if people would know, they could have waited till the 5th January and have 3 homesteads converted to a full region.

This clearly saves alot of money as for 12 homesteads you would get 4 fulls sims not 3 like in December, thats 1 full sim more!

Isn’t it nice to have honest, reliable business partners?

At the risk of feeding a troll, homesteads didn't exist in December, they were open spaces.. that were cheaper.. so it makes sense that you need only 3 homesteads rather than 4 open spaces..

Not whilst they are running four to a core it doesn't. A current server runs sixteen, if four people decide to convert that means they'd need a new server to run those and still have four homesteads that need a home, that's an increased cost.

I had the pleasure of "owning" land in OP's extensive beautiful estate (> than 90 open sims I believe at one point). A true quality management organization with lots of value added friendly service. OP is far from a troll, if that was what you are implying.

yeah, this is shady. the waived $100 conversion fee enticed allot of EO's to convert before the 5th of Jan. i converted 20 openspaces, but would have definitely waited until later had i know about this.

i even asked about the pricing discrepancy in december on this forum:
/354/56/297334/1.html

and it was mentioned in many other threads here too, and Linden never gave any response to it. really unfortunate.

There is an explanation here.

The idea is supposed to be that the 3:1 conversion reflects the new higher prices on homesteads.

thanks for the link. within this discussion, Jack says:

[11:17] Jack Linden: Dennis, i would suggest you talk to the concierge team.. they can make a call on whether they are able to help at all.

regarding compensating those who converted 4-1 without the knowledge that this would soon change to 3-1.

has anyone talked to the concierge team about this as Jack suggests?

I posted a support ticket and got one homestead back, but my convertion was done on the 6th January. If you did a convertion just before the price increase I would try to make a support ticket and ask for one homestead back.

LL isn't a trustworth business partner until they change the TOS.
