Second life seriously needs competition....so they can watch the Mass Migration of members.
You are not about to convience me that every website on the internet needs to collect V.A.T for saleing items to a citizen of Europe.
I was Born at Night, but not last night.
Personaly I am highly suspisious that because we finally get the Havock4 (which was promised 3 years ago) SL is upping the Game.
Oh and Bee?... I put on a sale at my store 50% off all products.... I sold 1 item now I have closed 2 of the stores I was having to pay rent on and I have 2 weeks left on my house before I will have to let that go back to owner.
I am still waiting for someone to tell me how we are going to fix this problem. I don't want to hear " SL will survive it" I want to know How I am going to survive it.
There is No Doubt in my mind that SL will survive it because there was definately a plan in motion when they decided to do this.
We are just not prevledged to know what SL's Plan is.
I am not from Europe But I would be happy to see them back in here. I would even be willing to give 10L for every sale I Make just to cover the cost
Yeah I know that amounts to Taxation in SL... but seems its coming.

ok, if I pay something to LL with my EU credit card, I will be charged vat.
Now what happens if I pay, say my premium account fees from my USD balance, with USD that I got from selling lindens ? In this case I wonder how added value for EU can be applied.

I hate to do it but ....

>>>BUMP<<<

Did anyone ever figure out an answer to this one?

It doesn't matter how you pay, if you are EU then the VAT rules apply, I pay my island tiers with the sell of L$ and still had to give a VAT number to stop LL from charging VAT to me.

Offcourse selling L$ doesn't involve VAT because there is no way to know where the person buying the L$ lives making it imposible for me to add VAT to it. Just hope the tax collector won't get all pissed that I'm not paying VAT over the sale of L$ to them.
