Robin Linden has stated "The landbots are creating an unfair market, and we have some ideas how to deal with them......we're working on a solution we hope will make them a poor business choice."
What is Linden Lab's intention to re-create a fair land market and what solutions are proposed to make landbots a poor business choice?

Thank you Mr. Helper, but you're trying to compare apples and oranges. The thread you refer to asks if restrictions will be placed on bot use in general within the framework of SL. What we're focusing on is how LL plans on fixing the broken land market, where two or three residents are able to dominate the lower end of the land market by grabbing every parcel priced lower than the current market baseline at the expense of every other resident in SL, and what they plan to do about those residents who have lost money, some of them in the thousands of US$, when landbots have grabbed their land that was mispriced due to the server lag and other assorted SL hiccups that occur constantly.

How about a limit on how much mainland one avatar can own? Let them buy sims if they want to be barons.

I don't see any point in that limitation, really.
Tier takes care of that. If someone pays for it, let 'em. If they overbuy, they will pay the price in massive tier payments (or lose the land, potentially having to sell it at a loss if they screw up and overbuy with their bots).
