Does Linden Labs Intend to Regulate Bots at all?

Does Linden Labs intend to provide any sort of regulation on how Bots operate as the become more numerous?


By Bot I mean -
Automated / changed versions of the client allowing massivly repetitive functions compared to a human controlled resident.

Current examples -

The Searchbot of Electric Sheep Company
The numerous Landbots in daily use.

Related Question -

Will there be regulations as to what bot collected "public" user data is allowed to be displayed on 3rd party websites in either the near or long term?

Examples -

User Objects rezzed Inworld
User Location and Online status.

I think you and your lawyer could make a good case that information about you in SL is your intellectual property, and you have the right to prohibit it being displayed on non-SL web sites without your permission.

Put a copyright statement in your profile 8-)
