With any "get rich quick!' scheme it's always worth pausing a moment to think, "If this guy's idea really works, why isn't HE using it instead of trying to sell it to me and six billion other people?"

Or better yet, why is he sharing his idea with others......

If the Ivory Tower seems intimidating, you can either...

...take it a tiny piece at a time. Just go there, do ONE station, then quit. Come back the next day and do the next station. And so on to the end. OR...

...you can download the tutorial at each station as a notecard, take them home, and read them at your leisure, without the constant crowd of other avatars distracting you.

There is a similar set of tutorials for particle effects at The Particle Laboratory.

Yes maybe I will try Ivory again sometime - in very little pieces. I do get a mental block sometimes, I think. Plus I recall it feeling dark and cramped in there - with a lot of text and prims and not much room to work in. Maybe I was having a bad day, but I felt a lot better once I left. Haha.

Shane - the 'books' I paid for were just about to the same extent. Pretty shameless.

I'll try to look up what the .exe was it automatically downloaded. (I deleted it I think but it still makes me nervous it even downloaded.) I hate that: even if I *did* want the program, I hate when it just dumps into my hard drive! And I had to uninstall my scan (prior) because it was seriously borking up my computer. (Norton conflicts badly with Mac OS)

I'll try and let the Lindens know about some of this stuff just in case. Since the books are 2 yrs old though, I'm guessing someone already has and nothing was done. But, never know. It's probably just this side of legitimate. "Overpriced" may not fall afoul of their TOS. :/ Which, technically it is since they stuck SOMETHING in the boxes, however useless.

I'll look into the skirt maker and all of the other tips and thank you all so much. It's very much appreciated! :)
