I wait all year for this review.

Once again Porky, you have given us all something to think about. Nice work, and I look forward to next year's review.

I always feel cheated by these early end of the year reviews, it's like footballer of the year being announced in March!

How can you possibly claim that when it is not quite over yet.

I expect a new post to confirm or modify this statement on Jan 1.

That thought entered my head, too. But I'll jump in anyway and add:

Better than ever. Srsly. :)

Funny I thought the first post would start like this:

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..."

Sounds good, the Super Bowl has been over for a few weeks, the Pro Bowl has been played. The NFL should be able to decide the best player of the past season by March.

/FD playfully teases Porky, no offense meant by following message given.
Man I was hoping for so much more from you Porky:)
I was looking for answers for all the confusion of the last year in SL..
Your title seemed so exciting I had visions of great insights and humor
now I feel my imagination just produced tons of flaccid hype how disappointing.
Flaccid hype sort of reminds me of something else but I can't remember.
LOL

"Apart from March 26th. That day was crap."

A crapper day may pop up in the next few weeks. But we hope not.

You over estimate me. This was the total sum of all thoughts in my brain at that time.

Flacid Hype would be a great name for a band. I'm going to trademark that :)

No. Not possible. March 26th's crapness shall not be surpassed. Even thinking about it scares me.

There I was happily building away. I needed to create a door. Doors are generally rectangular right? So I went to rez a cube....

AND REZZED A SPHERE BY MISTAKE!

Noooooooo I cried but it was too late. I curse the day that spherical bastard ruined my year. I wet the bed for weeks after I was so traumatized.

So no. Nothing will top March 26th. Or "Black Wednesday" as that fateful day shall forever be known.

Funny I thought the first post would start like this:

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..."
You're confusing it with another literary effort - understandable mistake.

If make it big and are rolling in so much dough you don't have to ever worry about it again
it would be nice to remembered where you first got your "Flaccid Hype" Hehe

I agree. But I suspect that a lot of former OS owners and renters may not.

I can come up with a couple of crappier days...

- The Day The Asset Server Died
- The Day They Upped the Prims on OpenSpaces
- The Day They Announced OpenSpace Price Increases
- The Day They Banned Kids' Skins as "Broadly Offensive" (and then ran and hid)
- The Day They Fired Half The Mentors

And to balance them, some really high points...

- The Day They Banned the Adfarmers
- The Day They Banned the "Banks"
- The Day I Met That Special Someone
- The Day the Forum Cartel Came To Class
- The Day My Alt Married Trout's Alt and Was Widowed (Maybe)
