Lions Clubs

The service activities and fund raising the SL Lions do will be up to the club. I'm sure there will be many opportunities that I cannot imagine. But, here are a few thoughts.

Provide helpers for non-profits and their activities in SL. Instead of having to ask for volunteers the non-profit could go to the Lions to get all the volunteers they will need to assist them with their event.

Conduct a Striders Walk in SL which raises money for Diabetes research. Diabetes is of course can lead to blindness thus the Lions interest.

Be a conduit in SL and the real world to help individuals who need eye glasses or eye surgery.

Be a conduit for those who need guide dogs or help raise guide dogs.

Provide donations to those in need / non-profits within SL and in their own real world communities.

Conduct fund raising activities that as a group can be done in SL and in real world individually.

I'm sure the members will have many more cretive and brilliant ideas.

there is some sort of virtual guide dog project, possibly through virtual ability island (not sure). they might be able to help you in developing some sort of partnership for your organization. here are a couple of links:
