You are correct. However, we have a serious shortage of forum moderators, therefore, people know they can post pretty much anything they want and get away with it.

I thought it was that the language had to be PG in nature rather than the advert had only to advertise PG things. I couldn't find anything that specifically says no to it in the guidelines.

Advertising for escorts is PG. Adult adverts can be presented in a PG fashion.

I would think that it would be possible to advertise escort jobs in a PG forum if you are discreet in your language. Although I would question whether that kind of thing should be advertised here, but that is another issue.

Discussing the escort business, problems with escort services, both in SL and RL certainly should be considered, as long as the language is appropriate.

But the whole issue of PG vs. Adult has some problems. Certain discussions may not involve problem language but are still discussions that should be among adults. This issue goes far beyond the escort advert. issue and applies to this forum, SL, and RL.

Just to continue the line of thought, would someone feeling the ad in question, which I've seen and is properly worded for this forum in my opinion, should not be allowed , do they also feel an advertisement for products that may have "adult " usues, such as beds and furniture also be prohibited, even if they are worded benignly?

Well, I visited the Teen SL website and the "Forum" link there appears to link to this forum when I mouse over it... which may explain why we occasionally have teens wander in... I don't know whether they should be able to view the forum with their login or not. Can't test this as my teenhood is in the oh-so-distant past.

While Escort can mean a sex worker, it does not always mean a sex worker.. Escorts does not equal sex workers.

Even if they did, the forums are PG for language, not puritan mores..

Some people rent escorts to have company and to have some intelligent conversation in a place where otherwise they would be alone.
