Give us an avenue to resolve disputes and set up an independant umpire or a virtual court so we can once and for all have our justice as we have in our RL's

This is sorely needed, especially if LL intends to incorporate (pun intended) more virtual commerce in future.

Grrr....no sympathy from this corner anymore!

Awwww...Rene, I am so very sorry about what has happened to you. Although, I have never rented land from you, in my situation with a land baron you were very sympathic and helpful.

But I can certainly understand when one says enough is enough. It always takes the last one to break the camel's back causing everyone to suffer behind it.

Yes would you believe it bitten twice in a month.I did my research and found what looked like a reputable agent and did a deal.2 days ago we were informed that our agent has been banned from sl and his entire group of residents now face eviction by LL.We have formed a group and commenced a fight for justice and better rights for those who have had thier land taken back by LL just because their agent breaks the rules.
RAB land owners survivors group is our group and we will not lie down and be pushed off our land quietly.

Can I make a suggestion at this point?

Buy mainland.

It's cheap, and the rent goes straight to LL. No middlemen.

Yeah, you get the nuisance neighbors from hell every once in a while, but you can get that anywhere, pretty much.

My mainland experience has been very pleasant, as far as my REAL neighbors go. The adfarmers/extortionists have been a major pain in the tail, but their backs are pretty much broken now.

Buying mainland is an option, but if he is dead set on having a homestead, I would advise not going for the cheapest one. We don't know what kind of research he did, but it's clear that he wasn't going with one of the bigger dealers out there. Bigger isn't always better, but they have more to lose so they are often more reliable.

Second that, I have rented in the past as well, from 4096 sqm parcels to a complete homestead, but I always refused to go with the cheapest. Only once I rented a quarter HS because the price was good, and guess what? The estate was suddenly gone. Always ask yourself: Is my landlord making a healthy profit from this? because if not, you can be sure that they won't last.
