My partner and I are running different versions of SL. I am running 1.20.17 and he's running the beta viewer 1.21.something the latest beta viewer which he says was a mandatory update for him.
Problem is that he can't see me come online. He can't map me; I can be standing in front of him while we are talking, it still shows me invisible to him. All of my squares are checked for him. I've checked my mute list and he's checked his. I don't know what else to check to figure this out.
Is this a known issue between two different viewers or is it more borkage of the latest beta?

This used to happen. Let me see, what did we do... I think changing groups, maybe.
No guarantee it's the same thing, but there are probably threads here on the old bug. I just found a thread where someone recommends attaching/detaching something, and sitting/getting up from a poseball. _____________________

I often get an issue when I upgrade to new viewers and/or switch between RC and standard.
I can see that a bunch of Friends are on-line but all the names show as "Waiting". This will continue solid for a number of days. Clear Cache, do a little dance, attach a blue box to my head - it makes no difference! In order to check which friends are on-line I have to open Calling Cards in Inventory. New Friends in the meantime will have their names shown. For your situation I would suggest dropping the Friend and offering Friend again. _____________________

This guy was having problems with First Look yesterday; he couldn't Edit Appearance. What happens if your partner switches out of First Look?

:giggles alright you all. He backed up to the same viewer as mine and before we could check, I lost my internets for the night. Maybe later he'll come on and we'll see if that worked. If not, we'll try the unfriend/refriend route.
