That's kinda how I feel - I'm not in your shoes, but I sure can't feel smug watching this happen.
Even more so, because John Bradford was burned at the stake later on. Ohhh! you really think Rock will be burnt at the stake? (sorry couldn't resist) |

Why not just unload your commercial land, and keep a small pretty plot you can afford the tier on? Maybe a 1024, or a 4096 or 8192 if you can swing it. (but NOT a 512 - you will hate that!) Look at the cost as a subscription, just like paying for WoW, or cable television. Become a regular resident, not a business person. Put in flowers, build a treehouse, whatever. Just play. It is very liberationg - I've been where you are, in terms of how you are feeling. Let go. Just play.

PS - I've got land I can sell or rent to you, where I live. It's not on the open market. I only sell to friends and carefully selected tenants at them moment, to keep it nice. And it includes ocean privileges!

Don't leave! Even if you have to sell all your land just downgrade to a free account. It costs you nothing and your certainly not obligated to log onto SL, but that way you can do so whenever you want and still have an account with all the nice things you bought with your SL income. Just login every now and then to wave at your friends in 10fps land from 100fps land.  |

Well. No. It was over 400 years before I was born. My memory of the 1500s is a little non-existent. Did anyone say anything like that in late 1900's? I might remember them.

I think it is sad he has not waited to see what happens. I just hope this is remembered for the event it is...a person deciding to leave because of the percieved future direction of his business and not remembered as the Lindens having put him out of business.
The first is obviously true but the latter remains to be seen still.

Hi all,
just so everyone knows. I have agreed the purchase of these two sims from Rock.
My intention at the moment is to make no significant changes to Hoini - why change such a beautiful place without a lot of thought and a very good reason.
Sukka Mire is going to be rented to an old friend of Rock's. It will probably end up as a Japanese themed island, but that is up to the lady who has agreed to take it. She already has a place on there and if the quality of her existing work is anything to go by I think everyone who visits will be blown away by what she can do.
Visitors to the public areas and prospective renters of the fabulous Arabian style skyhomes are always welcome.
