Is this the day the new CEO takes office?
Should there be an inaugural ball or maybe a pre-emptive tea party riot or something?
(I'd been thinking he was already in office but I am lead to think I was wrong.)

A Kingdom! A Kingdom for my horse! *chortles* The kingdom crashed and the horse is no longer in your inventory, huh? I'm waiting to see what will happen to SL with the new CEO before I decide how I feel about things. _____________________

Well, it's 6:45 am West Coast time. Figure 9 am he shows up for the coronation upon which he receives the sequined cod-piece that signifies rank of office. Shortly thereafter he presides over the first accidental shut down of the grid when he bumps the big red button in the top right desk drawer whilst moving aside all Phil's experiements in "haptic hardware."

Be nice, Isablan!
We have a nice shiny new CEO. With care and a little luck, we can get years and years of wear out of him. My tattered old CEO Manual says that the break-in period is about three months. During that time, you're supposed to treat your new CEO gently, don't floor him, don't startle him, and avoid hard braking and cornering. You should also fill him with fresh antifreeze and avoid overheating. At the end of the break-in period, wash him, wax him, change his oil and filter, install the heavy duty hitch and hook him to the Corporate Trailer for the long haul. Aftermarket Stock Options may also be added at this point. _____________________

I am actually cautiously optimistic about this change in power.
IF this guy keeps to his statement that stability is #1 we could in the long term be really glad he came on board. SHort term life is likely to be a nightmare. Stability is NOT going to be easy to achieve and there will be alot of pain involved for both his employees and we the residents of the grid (at least in the short term). One thing I do know is that something has got to change. Question is can this guy figure out what. |

Should there be an inaugural ball or maybe a pre-emptive tea party riot or something? I think they are holding it at the Bear Infohub. |

My prediction for his first move: Make land even cheaper. I can see him unraveling a banner in the break room that says "It's the tier, stupid."
I hope he holds off on trying new marketing efforts until we have a stable grid. In other words, never advertise. _____________________

At office hours this morning, Robin said there were a lot of things Kingdon COULD do, but she thinks he wants to concentrate first on not having another month like April. This seemed like good news.

This seemed like good news. . That bodes well, indeed. Although it wouldn't take much insight to see that daily asset server failures were a Bad Thing. _____________________

God forbid you'd drive him across a sim boundary though. /me imagines a scene at a sim crossing; King Mark has stalled out, and a huge train is bearing down upon us. We strive gamely to move, but he has stuck permanently in the crossing. The best we can do is to leave him there, hovering in midair, while we flee the oncoming engine. _____________________

I got him one of those executive toys for his desk - the one with the little metal balls suspended rright next to each other so when you drop one against the others, the one on the other side pops up.
Where do I send it? _____________________

Though I think the events will be interrupted at 9am for a couple of rounds of golf - then the rest of the proceedings will ensue ![]() _____________________

Where do I send it? I used to know the address of the "Mailboxes etc" store they use out there. _____________________
