Teen Grid no More?

I was kicking a kid out of my place and sending him to download the teen grid. But its no longer on the start page for www.secondlife.com. Please tell me that these kids aren't going to be here now - and the only thing keeping them out of adult content will be this verification process.

The ad disapears if you are logged in.

Teen grid is still there, so far, though some Lindens in the long run want to eliminate it and let the teens onto the unverified-allowed, PG parts of the main grid.

If you are already logged in to the SL websirte with an adult account, it won't show you an ad for the teen grid - since you're supposedly an adult.

If you log off, you'll still see the info on teen grid info.

Likewise, if you are a Basic Account holder, you see ads for upgrading to Premium now.

It's still on the Main page BEFORE you Log In. After you log in as an Adult account, there's no real need for it to be there so it's replaced with something else. if you want to direct someone to it tell them to log out of their second life account THEN look at the main page.

I'm trying to get my head around what it will be like for us adults when the teens are on the main grid. Restricted Content areas seem clear: just behave like one used to behave in Mature areas. And I suppose PG is still the same--behave as if everyone is as chaste as Oryx.

But what's an adult avatar to do in Mature, non-Restricted Content areas? Any avatar we come upon might be underage. That's true now, of course, but we at least know the kids on the main grid are liars to have gotten there, so further defilement is redundant. But, once the grids merge, I guess Mature areas unflagged for Restricted Content would be quite open to kids... so, wouldn't it be, like, soliciting a minor, to even flirt in Mature areas? I'm getting a queasy feeling about this.

Just keep your flirting to verified Avs. That way if you are actually flirting with a minor, you have a defence.
