The new Auction parcels for 4-1 were just posted. I'd wondered if they'd have names like Larry, Moe, Curly, and Shemp; Hungadunga, Hungadunga, Hungadunga, and McCormick; or maybe Hedly Lamarr and Bongo.
But no, they seem to be real parcels up for auction, and not joke parcels.
Which I suppose makes sense as LL is hardly likely to forgo the income for one day's auctions. Also, it's an international company, and maybe April 1 is celebrated in this way only in the Western hemisphere nations (?)
But since this will be my first April Fools Day in SL, I was wondering what sort of things go on. Anyone see any notable jokes? Anyone planning any? (not that you'd tell us in advance, of course!)

If I remember correctly, I think somebody like Desmond does a little number on the forums. Usually something like "Second Life has been aquired by Playboy."
LL doesn't do anything as that would be like the taxman telling you a joke after he'd emptied your bank account.  That's about it I'm afraid.. |

Trout Linden. Got to be. It's the only way he could possibly get away with those Letters of his. That would be an interesting development. Since I first wrote in this thread, the news media have been full of the Worm that's supposed to attack all our computers tomorrow (let's hope not). But wouldn't it be cute if the Lindens turned all our avatars into Worms, tomorrow? Worms wearing our usual outfits and attachments? ....okay, maybe 'cute' wouldn't precisely be the right word for that.... |
