All the bots are logged in, and they've locked the real people out.

There's a cheat code, but I forgot what it was.

All I see is enabled, disabled, enabled, resolved, reopened, disabled, resolved, disabled, and so on and so forth. :(

I'm intrigued to know more specific information about the problems.
Ummm - that would require LL to know.

I got in and routed to Gov Linden's mansion. On my radar were all the bots I usually see at a certain store.

I'm inworld; have been for most of the day with my head down building. Just checked website to see only 30K inworld!!!!

Guess I'll stay where I am until this all clears up.

That's what happened to me too. I was in all day building away. The group chats eventually clued me in that something was amiss.

Well... one wonders what percentage of that 31000 (as was) are resource-sucking campers and bots. I say "resource-sucking" as we all know what happens these days once the pop zooms over 70000 !!!

Anyway.... as LL just posted earlier.......

"RESOLVED 8:01 pm PST] All login issues have been resolved and functionality has been restored."

See???? EVERYTHING is perfect now... the sun is shining, birds singing war is over, engergy is plentiful, Santa is real, pixies DO live in my garden, my imaginary friend is real afterall, buttered toast does land butter-side-up...... so lets all log back on, run at 100fps 100% of the time,........

ok ok ok ok ok .. so Im sarcastic. Anyone seen LL actually giving us updates and apologies and a timeline for fixing the POS we pay into??

I'm one of them!

I logged in between bouts.

You 'logged in between bots'.

In situations like these, the bots can hammer at the logins repeatedly until they get in, and way faster than any human can. They load up the login servers the instant the door opens a fraction.
It's a bit like the landbots hammering search or buying land. A human clickity-clicking will never beat them for speed.

I remember watching a sim being reset. There were bots sitting there, oblivious to the "Sim restartinf. Get your sweet bott outta here" warning popups.
When the sim came back up, the bots returned immediately. It seemed like an age before the typist-controlled avatars started to appear.

No, I specifically meant "bouts" -- as in "bouts of rez failures/closed logins/teleport failures."

You logged in between bouts of bots.

Hey! Is that a possible new collective term?

A bout of bots.

Are the bots a bout?

They do, it's in their billing policy but with people inworld they'll say that the service wasn't off.

hm, if loggins are closed but one (1) person is on, the service isnt off -> right?
