From: Halo Minoptra I didn't think that sims were next to each other for any reason.
I'm not sure if you know what I mean, but I thought that there was no big plan. If you went from sim A to sim B you could go from one extreme to another.
Having a big map of unrelated things didn't seem worthwhile to me. Mainland and some of the mega land barons are grouped together and have at least contiguous geography is not themes. My plots right on a road, so from it I can in theory walk all along the continent I'm on and not have to deal with banlines.

I looked at the map again and it was pretty interesting to see it all from above, all the buildings and whatnot. I didn't see any roads.
Can someone tell me a place to start if I want to walk around SL?

I use the main map for checking how many people are in a sim before tp'ing to an event or whatever.
However, mostly i use it when i am sailing the Blake Sea. Its nice being able to plot your course out beforehand instead of just blindly trying to sail into unknown waters.

Hi Halo, Some sims are related. For example the Ryder Island sims are all furry-based. They are contiguous on the map and you can walk or fly from one to the other. They're a great place to explore some really interesting builds (like Ryder Asylum). Most of the mainland is contiguous too, as far as I know, but as someone else noted, you may run into ban lines. Grace From: Halo Minoptra After all these answers I've thought some more.
I didn't think that sims were next to each other for any reason. I thought each sim was separate, like each one was on a different computer and they had nothing to do with each other. I read things here where people complain about their neighbors.

So, are sims related? Can you go on a sort of walking tour of SL?
