All three.
If I could only have one, it would likely be grassy because I love trees and gardens, but I also like a little tropical waterfront and wouldn't trade my mainland snow parcel for anything. _____________________

My favorite is sorta the transitional land between grass and granite. It's really fun to see a place with tons of character and a really well detailed build integrated into it. Where I have my place, it's pretty much like that, but all my neighbors prim-landed the place about 30 meters up, so you can only get a gander of my terraforming madness by visiting my basement. Personally, all three. I love my grassy opensim that is my primary home. But my cabin in Larsson which is snow reminds me of vacationing in Colorado. To bad you cant have all 3 choices and like rings and stuff, just change the terrain from grassy to snow or have a combination.

I like a grassy land incorporated into a little beach. Reeds on dunes, fences and boardwalks.

Snow land!
It's stark, not meant for a lot of useless greenery wasted prims and rocks by the water! And if you look there are some great snow sims that are mostly residential w/ wonderful winter vacationy builds and I'll take Ad-free too plz + There's tons of wonderful beachy places to visit any time to get some "fun in the sun" time. _____________________

I like the beachy land. The grass is just too flat and fake looking and I can always add prim grasses to a beach plot to give it a different effect. But...I'm an ocean person by nature so it only makes sense I'd prefer the virtual beach too.

Exactly, foehn! The sim I live in and the surrounding ones are gorgeous. With streams flowing through here and there it is quite breathtaking. And I havent seen any kind of advertisment in a very long time. Last time there was one, it a billboard of Fred Thompson for president. And that didn't last long. _____________________

There wasn't an option for water sims (upon which I live). I LOVE them because they are so versatile - one can build their own beach....have a home build on the surface with any kind of terraforming they wish, or, as with all sims, live in the sky and come down to "ground level" for boating, swimming, etc.
I'm also planning to build some type of an underwater grotto on mine - just have to put my ideas together. Wondering what an underwater shopping area would be like..hmmmmm...... |

I seem to have a volcano fixation so generally buy mountain tops. I have made three now in my time here and now we have sculpties i can use them to realistically extend the height of them and create nice crators. I just built one for a friend of mine and his house is deep inside floating on a river of lava. Aaaah praise the sculpties!

Of the list I chose grass. I don't really need to see any more sand anywhere -- ever. I am happiest in the forest surrounded by life.

Hello folks
Just checking the stats. 71 votes. Lovely. Thank you for everyone who voted and/or posted here. I just finished reading all the posts too.As for my own choice if I was forced to choose because I could afford only one land and one kind, I'd choose the snowy one. It's something I don't see too often in RL. Keep the votes coming fellas ![]() Thank you! |

Poll isn't exactly broad enough, you forgot pie and sky
I prefer beachy, kind of grassy, rocky like many. Both my homes here were on the water thus far. The first one, was a prim island, pure sand and flat. Very tropical. Current one is sandy at the waters edge but, becomes grassy and hilly as you go further into the property. This one is far more versatile for landscaping purposes. I keep thinking eventually I'd like to re-do it as a New England style rocky coast, but all my neighbors have theirs so tropical that I have it kind of mediterrean/tropical so it blends it with the surroundings. Eventually, I would like to have a small snowy area. That's been gnawing at me quite a bit. I guess, I could just buy some snow and throw it all over my skybox ![]() _____________________
