Have any of you guys tried women's hair? Have any of you girls tried men's hair? Does it look just wrong or are there certain brands or styles that seem to work?

I saw a guy the other day wearing a longer, straight wig that I recognized as being a woman's wig. It didn't look bad at all, and I remember thinking at the time "Hey, great idea, why didn't I think of it?"

I´ve never tried this myself, but I don´t see why it wouldn´t work, provided it can be resized enough. There are also several stores that styles they advertise specifically as unisex, though can´t remember which off the top of my head. I was mistaken for a woman the other day. No, I wasn't ruthed, and yes, I do have a beard in SL. I think it was the hair, which is a male hair, but is sort of long and shaggy. I really need to work on my shape. Maybe I should give up and go with the huge muscles/7.5 foot tall steroid shape. Add enough bling and I'll fit right in.

Some styles don't work for some people..ever... lol
I saw a man who looked like he would be a biker (Big, leather jacket, spikes, etc etc.. I mean the stereotypical biker gang look) other than his hair. It was long (middle of his back), shiny brown, and wavy... obviously womens hair.. it was pretty. Ruined his image in my opinion lol... _____________________

One of my favorite styles is a 'mens' style... I forget where I got it (can't get inworld at the moment) but the style was called Hyde.
I know a few gals who wear mens styles, because they like the shorter hair and there are some very nice short styles which are marketed for men. -Atashi _____________________

I think Hyde is one of Natalia Zelmanov's at Sirena, West Sunset (160,50,22).
I can't find anything for 'the older man'. Been trying to find something long, longish or at least longer, but with a high hairline (read 'receding') and definitely not ponytail. Most women's styles are about falling across the face & shoulders etc. _____________________

Ponytails can generally work for guys. A ponytail worked for me, but I get more looks now from women with my hair in my eyes (both styles I have are guy hair)...Golly! the thought did enter my mind about wearing women's hair, but I'm not that brave yet...(and don't even think about asking me to wear women's clothes... I'm definitely not that brave...heh heh heh!!!) _____________________
